It is one of the important rivers flowing through Central Europe. It flows through four countries, including Romania, Serbia, Ukraine and Hungary. The river is 600 miles long and was once popular as the most Hungarian river as it ran almost entirely through the Kingdom of Hungary. 5. The Black Knight
It is a river located in western Romania as well as the south-eastern part of Hungary. The river begins due to confluence at the headwaters of the Crisul Poini and Crisul Baisi, which are located in the western Apuseni Mountains. It also flows through the cities of Beuș and Cetai in Romania. The Little Rosa River is actually one of its tributaries. After crossing the Hungarian border, the river joins the Fehr-Körös north of Gyula to the Körös River. A part of the river from the Crisul Reped River is diverted to Crisul Neguru by the Crisul Collector Canal.

The Markák is a right tributary of the Rába River which flows near Szeged in the Bakony region of western Hungary. Then the river flows north and reaches Učka which is situated on the Little Hungarian Plain. In October 2010 the river became polluted due to a chemical spill causing red mud and then it temporarily suffered a major loss of aquatic life. But the river has since recovered from the disaster.

The Zala flows in southwestern Hungary; It begins in the hills northwest of Szalafo, near the borders of Slovenia and Austria. It flows through the Hungarian counties of Zala and Vas. The river has a length of 139 km and a drainage area of 2,622 km². It is joined by a number of small rivers, including the Szentmihalyifalvi Patak, the Felso-Valika, the Szentjakabi Patak, the Sarviz (Zala) Patak and more. It flows through the town of Zielagerszeg before flowing directly into Lake Balaton which is located near Częstoły.

The Hornad is a river that also flows in eastern Slovakia and north-eastern Hungary. It is a tributary of the Sajów River and its source is the eastern slope of the Kraszów Hoza hill, located south-west of Wiktorwece. The length of the river is 286 km, of which 178 km lies in Slovakia and the remaining 108 km flows in Hungary. Cities located along the river are Košice and Spišská Nová Ves, both located in Slovakia. After this it flows into the Sajo river. Along the river, there are 6 distinct limestone cliffs as well as steep slopes that form the Hornadske Weapons Site and is a place of community importance.

The Koroz also flows in eastern Hungary and western Romania. The length of the river is 128.6 km, originating from the confluence of the Fehr-Koros (Crisul Alb) and the Fekhte-Koros (Crisul Negru), near the city of Gyula, which are its two sources. The drainage basin of the river is approximately 27,537 km square. The river also has another source called the Crisul Repede, but all have their origin in the Apuseni Mountains in Transylvania, Romania. The part of the river that lies downstream from Gyumendra is called Hermas Koros and flows into the Tisza River near Csongrad.
