Although not a box office smash, the film was well-received, especially Taylor-Joy’s performance, and she soon found herself starring in M. Night Shyamalan’s Split and Glass.
It was her role as Beth Harmon in Netflix’s chess drama Queen’s Gambit that really broke her into the mainstream. Since then she’s had a recurring role in the final two seasons of Peaky Blinders and appeared in movies Last Night in Soho, New Mutants, and The Northman.
