5 Walking Dead characters who deserve their own spinoff

the walking dead was one of the most popular series on AMC, spawning several spinoffs. Some of these were released during the broadcast of the main series, while others debuted after the postapocalyptic horror drama ended. Recently, there has been The Walking Dead: Dead City, which centers around Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, with Norman Reedus reprising the role of his fan-favorite character. The first and arguably most successful spinoff, fear the walking dead, will end this year after completing its eighth season. The show focused almost entirely on a new (and frequently changing) cast which was ultimately bolstered by the arrival of Morgan (Lennie James) from the original series in crossover fashion.

Bottom Line: There’s No Shortage of It the walking dead Stories to be told. If fan service means anything, there are some other fanfic characters who would love to see their own spinoff.

shane walsh

Considering his brutal death scene and his character’s arc, a spinoff focusing on Shane (played by Jon Bernthal) would have to be introduced in prequel fashion. But fans would love to know who Shane was before the events of the series, and what the relationship was between him and Rick (Andrew Lincoln). Additionally, was there always an attraction between him and his best friend and partner’s wife, Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies), or was their relationship just the result of circumstances?

These are all questions fans might want to consider in more depth. The Shane spinoff couldn’t exist without Rick and Lori. But it might be interesting to see him as a pre-apocalyptic small-town police officer.

Judith Grimes

The spinoff that would make the most sense would focus on the character of Judith (Callie Fleming). She is now effectively orphaned, her biological mother and father having long since died; Her half-brother, Carl (Chandler Riggs), and her adoptive parents, Rick and Michonne (Danai Gurira), are all gone; And with her uncle Daryl in Paris on a quest, who’s looking after Judith? Looking at the fifteen characters we met the walking deadThe question really is, who is Judith caring for?

Judith, wise beyond her years, is a skilled and capable fighter thanks to training from Rick and Michonne. But he also has a kind heart. Fans will love to see where Judith and her younger brother, RJ (Antony Azor), go from here, and what she’s doing in the community. With Carol (Melissa McBride), Maggie, and others, this would be the perfect spinoff with tons of cameos as well as the return of many other characters.

Philip ‘The Governor’ Blake

Before Negan, Philip Blake (David Morrissey), better known as the Governor, was the group’s most formidable foe to date. After all, it was by his hands that Hershel was brutally beheaded in front of his daughters. His actions arguably changed the direction of the series. While some felt that the story overstayed its welcome once it reached its climax, The Governor’s backstory would make for a compelling spinoff.

Fans got a chance to see The Governor at his most cunning and manipulative. By that time his daughter had died and he had already become a powerful leader. However, watching his journey to Woodbury, as well as his descent after the tragic death of his daughter, may be fascinating.

Paul ‘Jesus’ Rovia

Jesus from The Walking Dead stands with folded hands in the middle of an empty street.

Paul (Tom Payne), also known as Jesus, had a death in the series that fans felt came too suddenly and too quickly. Little was known about his back story, except for a few candid conversations with Maggie during quiet moments. His introduction was one of the best in the show, as Daryl was stalking him. He proved to have serious martial arts and escapist skills that surprised even Daryl.

What was Paul’s life like pre-apocalypse, not only while training in martial arts, but also being a skilled pickpocket and escapee? Seeing Jesus enter the Hilltop community and following Him through the work of recruiting members, supplies, and partnering communities there, could make for an interesting prequel-like story.

ezekiel sutton

Ezekiel from The Walking Dead is sitting on his throne, with the tiger Shiva at his side.
Gene Page/AMC

Ezekiel was one of the best protectors in Shiva the Tiger on the show. Shiva’s dutiful loyalty to him convinced many that Ezekiel possessed mysterious, king-like power – how could this wild beast be induced to submit to him? The only person who saw this was Carol, to whom Ezekiel admitted the truth almost immediately. He worked in a zoo before the apocalypse and thus had an established relationship with Shiva, especially after helping an injured tiger in his time of need. When the world fell, it was understood that Shiva was inherently indebted to Ezekiel, never displaying any hostility towards him.

With Ezekiel’s dramatic talents, he was in the perfect position to become a leader. However, another element that could be added to this story is to see Ezekiel and Shiva’s relationship blossom, including the fateful moment when the two were bound to each other, and the events that lead to the fall of the world. Occurred after. This could make for a compelling human-animal story. Such an angle may differ from the typical The Walking Dead tone, but it’s a fascinating story that can be told in an entertaining and heartwarming way.
