1. Ubudiya Mosque
This is the main attraction of Kuala Kangsar. When you think of Kuala Kangsar, Ubudiya Mosque is the first place that will come to your mind. It is said to be one of the beautiful mosques of Malaysia. It is a golden domed mosque whose minarets are surrounded by coconut trees which create a mesmerizing view. This Great Mosque was designed by Arthur Bennison Habbach (a government architect) and was built in the year 1913 under the orders of Sultan Idris Murshidul Adjam Shah and finally completed in the year 1917. There is an interesting story behind the construction of this mosque. Construction was delayed because two royal elephants destroyed the marble during a fight, then the marble was re-imported from Italy.

2. Palace of Memories: Royal Museum
It was the former royal residence but is now known as the Royal Museum of Perak. If you look closely, you can see the excellent craftsmanship in the building. The building is designed with contrasting colors of yellow and white with delicate carvings on the ceiling and walls. The Royal Museum represents traditional Malay architecture. It is open to the local public and tourists daily from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. The most amazing thing about this place is that it has been designed without any blueprint and not a single nail has been used in the construction.

3. Istana Alexandria: Royal Palace

Completed in the year 1933, it is a royal palace and the official residence of the Sultan of Perak. This beautiful and historical place is located in the royal city of Malaysia, Kuala Kangsar. The construction of this building is based on the architecture of West Asia. This royal building faces the sunrise and the river. Istana Iskandaria is designed with a royal dining room, audience hall, royal rest room, women’s cloakroom music hall and royal council chamber. The onion shaped dome and minarets give it an attractive appearance.

4. Sultan Azlan Shah Gallery
It is a royal place in Perak, Malaysia that provides information about the Perak royal family. It showcases the history and milestones of the life of His Majesty Sultan Azlan Shah. By visiting this royal place, you will get to know a lot about the life of Sultan Azlan Shah as this building displays his life. His education, career, love for hockey, hobby of collecting coins, notes, watches etc. are shown in this building. The main building displays the costumes and swords of Sultan Azlan Shah.

5. Victoria Bridge
It was constructed by the Government of Perak between the years 1897 to 1900. It is an old attraction that reminds you of the railways in old classic movies. Which was inaugurated by Sultan Idris Murshidul Azzam Shah. This bridge was named after Queen Victoria. It is the only railway bridge to cross Sungai Perak in Karai. Now this bridge is not in use since 2002.

6. Pavilion Square Tower
It is located across the street from Malay College Malaysia. It is a three-tier building built in the year 1930 for the royal families. The royal family used to comfortably watch polo matches nearby. Previously, it was used as a recreation center for court officials. After renovation, it becomes a part of the public park and you can go for a walk here. It was built under the instructions of Sultan Iskandar Shah and is sometimes called the “Pagoda of Malaysia”.

7. Betul Anor
It was the former residence of King Kechil Sulong Harun Al Rashid; Prince of Perak. This is a notable mansion of the royal family. This mansion was built by the prince for his third wife. 8. Alexandria Bridge
It is one of the 4 major bridges in Kuala Kangsar, Malaysia, also known as Sultan Iskandar Bridge. It is the longest steel arch bridge in Malaysia, with a total length of 308 meters and width of 10.2 metres. It was constructed in the year 1932 by M/s James Craig Limited. The bridge was officially inaugurated by the late Almarhum Sultan Iskandar of Perak and is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Kuala Kangsar.

9. Rubber trees
