The Best Street Style from Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week SS22
Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week had the fashion world buzzing, with shows from Schiaparelli, Jean Paul Gautier, Maison Valentino and more. It wasn’t just the runways that abounded with enviable sets. The streets of Paris were adorned with stunning clothing, ranging from daring trouser suits, trendy faux fur, 60s-inspired miniskirts and a mix of trench coats. A major trend we saw on the streets of France was the use of accessories. Waist-cinched belts and corsets – worn over coats, shirts, dresses, etc. – brightly printed scarves made waves, and layering was key. Thoughtful, sculptural handbags and shoes added pizzazz to every outfit, sparking a conversation within every room. Bold jewellery, from earrings to necklaces and rings, was a fashion lover’s favorite – worn with neutral shades like black, gray and camel, taking ensembles to a new level. While this palette has remained strong each season, we also see splashes of colors like red, blue and green dominate the streets, worn in monochrome or with other shades. Wardrobe basics, like a humble pair of jeans, have become a staple. Denim was paired with oversized trench coats, embellished tops and platform heels, adding a casual edge to the enviable outfit. Themes of self-expression, individualism and love of art were evident throughout the week and are sure to inspire style lovers this season. Check out some of the hottest street looks we saw at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week SS22.
