living in the real world

Things change completely as Nathan tries to adjust to the intense smells and sounds he’s been away from for so long. His absence in Lakeview is punctuated by his eager new messenger Tinsley (Mackenzie Cardwell), a cloned version of him from a month earlier. Ingrid (Allegra Edwards) is still taking VR tours consistently in Lakeview and sees this as the perfect opportunity to pounce. This previous version of Nathan is reportedly still in love with her and hasn’t fallen as deeply for Nora (Andi Aloe) yet.

However, the Real Nathan doesn’t care what’s going on there because he and his now official girlfriend, Nora, have work to do. Together with Ivan (Josh Bande) and Matteo (Paulo Costanzo), they hatch a plan to get to the bottom of what happened. The ultimate goal is to work with the Luddites to eliminate Freund before more people are hurt and manipulated. However, it’s too late, as Freemond has convinced thousands of people to upload for free, only to eliminate them one by one, with no plans to upload them anywhere. This is all a sick plan to eliminate 10,000 voters.

Nathan and Nora manage to interrupt the process, though Matteo suffers collateral damage, as does Detective Sato (Hiro Kanagawa), who, it turns out, was a bad guy all along. They’re desperate to do right by people could not do Save, Nathan and Nora take the hard drives of all the uploads and make it their mission to deliver them to the families of the deceased.

They meet some interesting people along the way and begin to learn about each other’s characteristics. But there is concern about Nathan’s health in his mind. The longest a cloned person survived was a month before his head exploded. Nathan’s nose continues to bleed, and the pair are convinced he is on borrowed time. They need to hurry.

Meanwhile, everyone else continues with their actions. Struggling with the loss of his best friend, Luke (Kevin Bigley) falls into depression and searches for companionship anywhere. When he learns that the government will no longer provide funding to veterans in Lakeview, he takes a trip to the gray market and gets into a secret phone sales job to make extra dough, which leads to him being kidnapped for a short time. It is done.

Alisha (Zainab Johnson) is there for Luke when she can be, but she’s busy with her powerful new position as teacher to the AI bots (Owen Daniels), and helping them learn about human behavior. Trying to do. She eventually works with an AI sent into the real world as part of a secret Horizon experiment. As she rises up the ranks, Alisha meets Karina (Jeanine Mason), a corporate boss at Horizon, with whom she becomes romantically involved. However, soon, clues suggest that Kareena may not be an innocent bystander to the secret activities going on.

More is revealed about her dealings with Choke and other corporate heads, including Ingrid’s father. They’re all in this together, determined to see Nathan’s freewheeling lifestyle concept see the light of day and stop it from jeopardizing their billion-dollar business. However, Choke eventually goes missing after his angry messenger Ivan steals his hard drive. What will Nathan do once/if he gets possession of the hard drive of the person responsible for his death? That’s a question for another day.

What about Ingrid? He is still up to his usual antics. She betrays clone Nathan, who at first did not know she was a clone, and is desperate to keep her in his life. In the real world, his family has completely cut ties with him and he has to take a real job in retail to make ends meet.

As she pursues her relationship with clone Nathan in Lakeview, she becomes jealous of how the real Nathan’s relationship with Nora has developed. It seems, she will stop at nothing to keep her man, whether he is the real version or the clone version. It should be noted that the two Nathans eventually meet and hilariously try to outwit each other.

Upload is running with failure

Fearful that Nathan’s days are numbered, he and Nora visit Dr. “Download” Kapoor (Ravi Kapoor), the doctor who was previously fired after the failed clone project. He doesn’t have answers, but he gives Nathan the pills. He is clearly hiding something.

Not sure what to do next, the couple finds an ally in Nathan’s old college boyfriend, Holden (Christine Kofsky), who happens to be a lawyer. She decides to take up a case to seek compensation for the families of the recently uploaded dead. She believes Nora could be key in helping her win, and Nora thinks this could be the step to finally taking down the Horizon.

things are looking up. Nora is offered a job at the firm, and is promised to teach in law school. But just as the key witness arrives to meet the lawyers before the trial (turns out it’s Dr. Kapoor himself!), he is murdered by a food container carrying explosives. Why was he going to be the smoking gun? It was revealed that he was paid to deliberately blow up the first clone subject to protect the Afterlife business. This, coupled with the discovery that the pills Dr. Kapoor gave Nathan were nothing more than Gas X, confirms the surprising news: Nathan’s head is not going to explode. Clones can survive among humans just fine, and this could effectively render the digital afterlife business useless.

Nora convinces Ingrid to become the new key witness, despite her knowledge of her father’s involvement, with the trial not going well. Back in Lakeview, Alisha and Luke hatch an elaborate plan to get into Karina’s computer and see what they can find. It turns out even better than they could have imagined when they uncover files containing seriously damaging information about Horizon. The contents are not disclosed, but it is a terabyte of data that Alisha rapidly uploads to Nora, and it helps them reach an immediate solution to the case. But there’s a problem: The records remain sealed. This means that Horizon will see a small dent in its bottom line as the company pays out millions to surviving families. Other than that, it’s business as usual.

Nora and Nathan leave the courthouse disappointed with the outcome of the case, but excited for their future. Just then, Nathan, who could not provide valid ID, was taken into custody by Horizon Security.

Fast forward to an unknown time, Nora, Ingrid and Nathan’s mother are frantically trying to think of what to do. This is combined with the scene of the attack on Lakeview, where several duplicate uploads (Nathan was not the only one) are reportedly being killed. There’s also soothing footage of a New Horizons ad launched after the trial settlement. The company is working to rebuild trust.

The ad presents a lavish-looking lifestyle community with new options, including Workload, where people spend their days working mundane clerical jobs. The company also changed its name to Betta, humorously noting that Horizon would remain a company under the Betta umbrella, which would be used as a container for the lawsuits. However, it’s clear that there is nothing “Betta” about this place.

The story returns to the panicked group when they receive an incoming call from Nathan. Where was he all this time? Is he okay? He reveals that the other Nathan was destroyed. But wait, Nora wants to know: who is Nathan He, The episode ended leaving it unclear whether it was the real Nathan or the duplicate Nathan she was talking to.

Pour It has not been officially renewed for a fourth season, but the cliffhanger ending suggests that the story is expected to continue.
