Weather impact day: Severe thunderstorm watch issued

Severe storm threat diminishes around region; more rain on the way Friday

THE SAME WAY. ALL RIGHT, TURNING TO YOUR FORECAST IS WHAT ARE WE EXPECTING WHEN WE WAKE UP TOMORROW? WE’RE STILL GOING TO BE DEALING WITH POSSIBLE STORMS IN THE MORNING. THERE MAY BE A LITTLE BIT OF RAIN AROUND. I DON’T EXPECT TO BE A STORMY START TO THE DAY, BUT IT WILL TURN STORMY EVENTUALLY AS WE WORK OUR WAY INTO THE AFTERNOON. ANOTHER ROUND OF SHOWERS AND STORMS IS WHAT I WOULD EXPECT FOR MOST OF US. I THINK IT’S ANOTHER DAY WHERE AT LEAST MOST OF US PICK UP SOME RAIN. OBVIOUSLY, AS WAS THE CASE TONIGHT, SOME OF US PICKED UP MORE THAN OTHERS. RIGHT? HERE’S A LOOK AT RADAR RIGHT NOW. THINGS HAVE REALLY QUIETED DOWN ALL THE SHOWERS AND STORMS ARE UP HERE UNDERNEATH THE BANNER THERE. UP THERE IN CENTRAL OHIO. NOW THERE MAY BE A SPRINKLE OR TWO LEFT TO BE HAD AROUND HERE. HOWEVER, THE SAME STORM SYSTEM THAT’S RESPONSIBLE OR HAS BEEN RESPONSIBLE FOR THE STORMY WEATHER FOR THE PAST WEEK IS NOW CLOSER TO US AND BASICALLY GOING TO PARK ITSELF OVER THE OHIO VALLEY TOMORROW. AND THAT LIKELY WILL RESULT IN WELL, AFTER A LITTLE BIT OF A GLOOMY START, SHOWERS AND DOWNPOURS AND STORMS FOR MOST OF US. STILL VERY MUGGY OUTSIDE TONIGHT. TEMPERATURES ARE RESTING IN THE LOW 70S. AS YOU KNOW, THE ROUTINE HERE. THEY’RE NOT GOING TO FALL VERY MUCH TONIGHT BECAUSE OF THE HIGH LEVELS OF HUMIDITY. I MEAN, LOOK AT THE DEW POINTS. WE’RE STILL STUCK IN THE 70S, SO WE NEED TO CLEAR SOME OF THIS MUGGY AIR OUT OF HERE BEFORE WE CAN FINALLY GET INTO A LITTLE BIT OF A DRIER WEATHER PATTERN. SO WATCH HOW THIS PLAYS OUT. HERE’S A LOOK AT THE CURRENT SITUATION THROUGH THE NIGHT TONIGHT. EXPECT PLENTY OF CLOUDS. I WOULDN’T RULE OUT A SHOWER OR STORM FOR SOMEONE, BUT I DON’T EXPECT MUCH IN THE WAY OF ADDITIONAL RAIN BEFORE THE SUN COMES UP IN THE MORNING. AFTER A GLOOMY START, WE’LL GET SOME BREAKS IN THE SUNSHINE. EXCUSE ME? IN THE CLOUD COVER AND THEN, LIKE CLOCKWORK, STORMS WILL FIRE UP IN THE AFTERNOON. A LITTLE BIT AFTER NOON. AND THEN LOOK WHAT HAPPENS. YOU CAN SEE HOW IT JUST KIND OF FILLS IN THROUGHOUT THE DAY. I KNOW WE’VE GOT BIG CONCERTS GOING INTO THE WEEKEND, ONE AT PAYCOR TOMORROW NIGHT. LOOK AT THIS. 8:00. THERE STILL COULD BE DOWNPOURS AROUND. THE TREND WILL BE THE FARTHER YOU GET AWAY FROM SUNSET, THE LESS LIKELY YOU ARE TO HAVE RAIN. SO AS IT GETS LATER INTO THE EVENING, THINGS WILL DRY OUT. BUT I CERTAINLY THINK EARLY TOMORROW NIGHT. IF YOU GOT FRIDAY NIGHT PLANS, RAIN COULD BE A FACTOR OVERNIGHT. IT GETS QUIET. WE’LL HAVE SOME CLOUDS TO START ON SATURDAY AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENS ON SATURDAY AS THAT STORM SYSTEM CONTINUES TO SLOWLY PULL AWAY FROM THE OHIO VALLEY, RAIN CHANCES WILL SHIFT EAST WITH IT. AND IN FACT, I THINK SATURDAY MOST OF US ARE STARTING TO DRY OUT. UNLIKE THE CASE FOR TOMORROW. SO HERE WE ARE, DOWNTOWN TONIGHT, 71, OFFICIALLY HERE IN CINCINNATI. LOOK AT THAT. HUMIDITY IS 100%. SO ANY DOWNPOURS TOMORROW WHEN IT RAINS IT WILL RAIN IN BUCKETS OUT THERE. THAT’S THE WAY TO THINK ABOUT IT. SO AT LEAST IT’S BENEFICIAL. RAIN A LOT OF AREAS STILL NEED THE WET WEATHER. QUIET THROUGH THE REST OF THE NIGHT. WE’LL GET DOWN RIGHT AROUND 70 BY MORNING. SO BASICALLY JUST HUMID AND QUIET. THE REST OF THE NIGHT REALLY WITH MAYBE A LATE DOWNPOUR TOMORROW. 86 I CAN’T RULE OUT A STRONG TO SEVERE STORM EITHER TOMORROW, BUT THE GREATER LIKELIHOOD WOULD BE FOR A LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL FROM ANY SLOW MOVING STORMS, WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR MAYBE SOME PONDING OF WATER OR LOCALIZED FLOODING. HERE’S A LOOK AT YOUR DAY PLANNER. AGAIN, I DON’T EXPECT MUCH THE FIRST HALF OF THE DAY, BUT I WOULDN’T RULE OUT THAT SHOWER CHANCE. HERE’S YOUR SEVEN DAY FORECAST. ALL RIGHT, STARTING TO DRY OUT ON SATURDAY. SUNDAY IS A COMPLETELY DRY DAY, BUT IT ALSO STARTS TO GET A LITTLE WARM OUT THERE. JUST SHORT OF 90. AND THEN WE ARE IN THE LOW 90S EARLY NEXT WEEK FOR HIGHS. AND THEN MAYBE SOM
