Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Laws degree from a recognized university, be enrolled as an Advocate under the Advocate Act 1961, and have proficiency in Hindi written in the Devanagari script. The age limit for eligibility is 22 to 35 years, with a relaxation of 5 years for OBC, SC, and ST candidates.

Selection Process
The selection for the Civil Judge (Junior Division) involves three phases:
- Preliminary Examination: Offline mode; consists of two papers covering General Studies and Law, with objective-type questions.
- Main Examination: Offline mode; includes six papers focusing on General Knowledge, English Language, Hindi Language, and three Law papers (Substantive Law, Procedure and Evidence, Penal, Revenue, and Local Laws), all requiring descriptive answers.
- Interview: Conducted in-person, assessing candidates’ suitability for the role in both English and Hindi.
