Palace Skateboards is one of the hottest streetwear brands in the world right now. They’ve had several sneaker collaborations over the years, and we’ve put together a comprehensive guide of every single one to date – read on to find out more. 

Over the years that Palace Skateboards have been in operation they’ve collaborated with both Reebok and Adidas Originals and produced some great silhouettes. However, if you haven’t been on the scene long, you may be unaware of some of these. In this guide, we’ll educate you on every Palace sneaker that there’s ever been. Even if you’ve been around since the days of the first Reebok collaboration, it wouldn’t hurt to refresh your knowledge, so read on to find out more.

Palace x Reebok Classic/Workout (2013)

In 2013, Palace was still a relatively small brand. Their flagship London store wasn’t in operation yet, and the brand was still stocked in many independent skate stores across the country. Their first ever sneaker collaboration was with legendary sportswear brand Reebok. Both the Classic and the Workout were given the Palace treatment. The Classic released in Black/White/Gold and Blue/Red/White – arguably the most iconic colourway of the capsule. The Workout’s released in a black colourway and a white colourway. All pairs came with Palace branded laces, which actually resold for a significant amount on their own at the time. Pairs of these don’t come about on the resell market often and demand very high prices, even though most pairs are extremely worn.

Palace x Reebok Classic Workout FVS (2013)

Just months after their first collaboration, Palace and Reebok announced the launch of another capsule collection. This time around, the focus was solely on the Workout. Four variations in total released; a navy leather pair, a burgundy leather pair, a black nubuck pair and a triple white pair. The three renditions all featured a gum sole, whereas the white pair continued the monochrome theme with a matching white sole. Palace Tri-Ferg logos were featured on the tongue of all the models. Upon initial release, these sneakers actually sat in stock for a while, which is a surprise considering they’re now all highly desirable silhouettes. This release does occasionally pop up on the resell market, although you’d be lucky to find a pair still looking fresh.

After two years of no footwear collaborations for Palace, their third was well overdue. By now, Palace was a fully established band with a cult following. Streetwear kids had cottoned on to the fact that Palace was the next big thing. After an initial collaboration with Adidas in 2014 featuring only apparel, it was time for the two brands to work on a shoe together. What they came up with was the Palace Pro Primeknit. A brand new silhouette that was fully skateable, and featured Primeknit technology. Both a black/white colourway and a full white colourway launched. They were both a huge success. If you were a fan at the time of this release, you may recall these popping up on discount sport websites a few months after the launch, for a heavily discounted price – it was like Christmas had come early.

Palace x Adidas Originals Pro (1st Release)

Dropping alongside the aforementioned Primeknit Pro was the Palace Pro. It’s the same silhouette just without the Primeknit. This version was regarded as a more classic approach to a skate shoe, as skating Primeknit technology just seemed a bit too new-school for some. They launched in both a black colourway and a grey colourway, and featured Adidas’ trademark three stripes, as well as dual branding on the tongue. These were much more popular with actual skaters, and unfortunately didn’t end up heavily discounted unlike their Primeknit counterparts. Pairs do pop up for sale occasionally, however bear in mind a lot of these got skated to death in.

So far in this list, we’ve only covered collaborations, seeing as this is a list of every Palace sneaker collaboration. Depsite this, we feel the list wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t include these absolute gems – even if they aren’t a team effort. Palace shocked the streetwear and skateboarding world once again in 2015. In ever controversial fashion, the brand decided to release their very own penny loafers. Because, why not? Everyone likes to dress up and look smart from time to time, even skaters. So for that reason alone, Palace decided penny loafers would be a great move. Although they held an impressive retail price, they still didn’t fail to sell out and were a big hit amongst the more dapper of us out there.

Palace x Adidas Originals Pro Boost

Towards the end of 2015, Palace and Adidas Originals continued breaking the boundaries when it came to skate footwear. Their latest effort included a Boost sole. A material usually reserved for running and lifestyle silhouettes, it certainly was an interesting choice for a skate shoe. We’re unsure if anyone actually skated these, as we could only imagine it would make skating rather difficult, and how the Boost would hold up against griptape is another issue. Both an aqua blue colourway and a black/white colourway released and sold out. If you want a pair now, the resell market is your best bet, these pop up fairly often and don’t demand as high of a price as some of the other sneakers featured here.

Palace x Adidas Originals Pro (2nd Release)

Following the success of the first Palace x Adidas Originals Pro release, it only made sense for the brand to continue the legacy of the silhouette and to release more colourways – and that’s exactly what they did. Launching alongside the Pro Boost came three brand new styles of the Palace Pro. A white/red leather edition (pictured), a tan suede option, and a black/white leather colourway all launched. Of course, these were also a success, and made a welcome addition for skaters in contrast to the Pro Boost. The black/white leather version is still very desirable today and is regarded as one of the cleanest Palace Pro colourways to date.

By now, Palace and Adidas Originals were really moving fast with their collaborative efforts. Just a month after the pair unveiled the Pro Boost and the second wave of Palace Pro’s came the Pro Boost C.M. Once again, a Boost sole was featured, however this time it was the upper of the sneaker that was more interesting. Clear design inspiration had been taken from the Copa Mundial – an Adidas football boot that holds a somewhat legendary status. Palace being a British brand is always keen to show it’s passion for football as a brand, as seen before with it’s Umbro football shirt collaborations. This release was relatively toned down and pairs of these rarely pop up on the market.

After a busy year of collaborations for Adidas Originals and Palace, things went quiet for a few months in early 2016. Then, just as summer was beginning, in May 2016 the brands announced that more colourways of the ever popular Palace Pro were on the way. Two new colourways launched, a navy blue/white and a clean black/orange/gum edition. This time, the uppers of both of the sneakers were constructed of premium quality suede. Dual branding was featured throughout, and I think I speak for everyone when I say that most were glad that Palace had ditched the idea of Boost soled skate shoes.

Just a month after the latest Palace Pro colourways launched, the two brands decided to revisit the Primeknit Pro from the previous year. This time around they opted for much louder colourways, most notably the white/orange version (pictured). Alongside this, a surf blue/white colourway also released. Although the release was popular and did sell out, it was to no extent as warmly welcomed as the original Primeknit Pro. This was most likely due to the colourways, although they were real head-turners and looked great in the promotional images, actually pulling them off in an outfit was always going to be difficult.

After nearly two years of solid Adidas collaborations, it was a bold move for Palace to team up with Reebok once again. However that certainly didn’t stop them. July 2016 saw the launch of a hilarious promotional video for the collaboration, featuring Hollywood A-Lister Jonah Hill. Fans were blown away by the video, and the hype was already beginning to circulate. The launch of this collaboration was without a doubt the most hyped Palace footwear release ever. The Club C is a vintage Reebok model that hadn’t been seen for years prior to this Palace collaboration, and it suited the brand’s aesthetic perfectly. Dual branding was featured on the tongue and the return of Palace branded laces was the finishing touch.

Alongside the rarely seen Club C, Palace and Reebok also launched another Reebok Classic. These had a lot to live up to considering how rare and sought after the 2013 release was by now, and they didn’t disappoint. Simple is always best, and that’s exactly what Palace went for. The new Palace x Reebok classic launched in just a black colourway and a white colourway, both topped off with white midsoles and a translucent blue sole. Palace and Reebok had done it again – both the Club C’s and the Classic’s sold out instantly, in-store and online.

After the highly successful 2016 Reebok collaboration, many were left wondering if Palace had terminated their on going partnership with Adidas. However, by late 2016 it quickly became evident that this was not the case. The brand unleashed a whole new look book of Adidas apparel, including a brand new collaborative silhouette – the Palace x Adidas Originals Indoor Pro. Based on a vintage football silhouette, it was another joint effort between the two brands which didn’t seem too suited to skateboarding. Due to the massive success of the apparel, the shoes were also bought by many to complete the full training set. Despite this, we can’t help but feel that if there wasn’t a matching tracksuit, the shoes would’ve sat for a while.

With Christmas just around the corner, it was the perfect time for Palace and Adidas to unveil one last sneaker before 2016 was over. The sneaker in question this time was the EQT PK. Based on 90’s running silhouettes and featuring a fully Primeknit upper, this was definitely one for the sportswear fanatics amongst Palace’s fanbase. Two colourways were released, one resembling the colour scheme of the Union Jack and the other following a pale blue/volt green theme. Although the sneakers were well designed and definitely functional, they weren’t a huge success and can be picked up fairly cheaply on the resell market.

The first half of 2017 saw Palace and Adidas keeping quiet, with no teasers of new releases. Then in early June, streetwear fans in London started noticing posters on the London Underground network featuring Palace team rider Blondey McCoy showcasing a brand new Palace Indoor Pro. For a brand that started out as a small independent London skate crew, this was a phenomenal achievement. The sneakers however left much to be desired as they were overshadowed massively by the impressive line of apparel that dropped alongside them, and actually sat in stock for quite a while. Once again, if you’re after a pair of these, don’t cost too much. They pop up regularly and often sell for around or even under retail price.

Palace x Adidas O’Reardon

With the last team effort sneaker between Palace and Adidas being a slight disappointment, the two had a lot to make up for. Fortunately, they didn’t let us down. The O’Reardon sneaker was originally seen on the feet of street skating legend Josh Kalis in the early ’90s, and hadn’t seen much light of day since. For their September 2017 release, Palace and Adidas decided to rework the vintage sneaker. It was a huge success, and sold out in seconds via Palace’s web store and Dover Street Market. If you’re looking to get your hands on a pair now, they’re common on the market due to this being a recent release, however do expect to pay slightly above retail price.

After multiple colourways launched last year, many fans were left wondering if the Palace x Adidas Pro was a thing of the past. They weren’t strictly wrong. October 2017 saw the unveiling of the Palace x Adidas Originals Pro 2. An updated, sleeker version of the Palace Pro that we all knew and loved. It featured a sock-like technical upper, an extended heel tab and most importantly it was fully waterproof. Dual branding was featured throughout the model, and it released in two colourways – a stealthy looking triple black and a clean white/orange colourway. Both models also featured translucent midsoles.
