Nike SB is a sub-brand of Nike, producing skate shoes, hosting a skate team and offering everything and anything else a skateboarder could need. Their latest release, in collaboration with highly coveted pro-skater Grant Taylor features brand new velcro technology.
Former “Skater of the Year” and highly renowned champion Grant Taylor has had a long relationship with Nike SB, churning out many different silhouettes. However his latest team effort with the brand has to be the most exciting we’ve seen yet. Constructed of robust suede and featuring Zoom Air technology, the shoe will no doubt offer all the comfort and manoeuvrability necessary for a long day’s skateboarding.
The new model is presented to us in an impeccably clean black colourway, with a white swoosh and heel details. It’s a classic colour combination that can’t be flawed, it’s just so simple and flowing. Alongside this, the main feature of the new sneaker is the removable velcro patches for the heel details, essentially offering two interchangeable styles for the trainer. The removable patch features Nike branding, and when it’s removed Grant Taylor branding is revealed.
No doubt that a lot of skaters, and streetwear heads will want to get their hands on these. They make a great wardrobe addition for anyone seeing as how easily they can be matched to any outfit. However, unlike in the past when Nike SB releases were extremely limited and hyped, there is significantly less fuss over SB releases these days, which certainly isn’t a bad thing. The Nike SB Blazer GT is available now via Nike’s webstore, their flagship locations and several other retailers.
