A "NYC Marathon" Nike Zoom Fly SP Is Releasing

Last week we saw a clean black and white version of the highly desirable Nike Zoom Fly SP release to the public, and now Nike have unveiled teaser images of a “NYC Marathon” exclusive colourway. It’s safe to say the design is looking extremely stealthy and effective.

Sneakerhead around the world were extremely happy to learn about the return of the Nike Zoom Fly SP at the end of last week. It was a popular silhouette upon its first launch, and sold out almost immediately. The white/black edition has now sold out almost completely, with extremely limited small sizes left. Earlier this weekend, Nike released a series of teaser images of a brand new colourway, dedicated to the NYC Marathon due to take place in November this year.

This time, the colourway of choice is also a monochromatic black and white, with subtle hints of grey throughout. Detailing is on point once again, with Nike branding on the tongue, Zoom Fly branding on the midsole and special edition “NYC” branding featured on the rear of the shoe. Nike’s classic Swoosh design also spans nearly the whole silhouette, adorning the mesh upper. The sole of the Nike Zoom Fly SP hasn’t changed with this rendition, it’s still the tried and tested Lunarlon technology that we all know and love.

If you like the look of the Nike Zoom Fly SP “NYC Marathon”, unfortunately there’s been no word on a release date yet, or whether or not these will be a general release at all. We wouldn’t be surprised if the release coincided with the NYC Marathon, due to take place on the 5th November this year. We can also see this release being very limited, and potentially only available to competing athletes. However, as soon as we get updated with the latest details we’ll be sure to update you.
