If you own an Xbox Series S, unfortunately, other forms of external hard drives also don’t really allow you to play games from them, being mostly just a form of storage. Luckily, there are plenty of great Prime Day deals going on right now, and that includes Seagate expansion cards. In fact, you can buy the 1TB version from Amazon for $130 instead of the regular $220, which is a substantial discount.

Why should you buy the 1TB Seagate Storage Expansion Card?

The big advantage of having a very specific expansion card work is that it can use Microsoft’s Xbox Velocity Architecture, which is its unique framework for creating fast-running storage devices. More specifically, they allow the storage device to act as RAM or a Blu-ray disc so that the console can read data from the hard drive at really fast speeds. This means you don’t have to rely on the disc to play games, but more importantly, you have almost no loading screens, and it also allows for quick pause functionality that lets you pause your game almost as soon as you put it on. Luckily, this functionality applies to any games stored on the expansion card, whether they’re Xbox Series X and Series S games or even Xbox, Xbox 360, or Xbox One games.
