Adidas Consortium is the king when it comes to high quality and well thought out collaborations. For their latest team effort they’ve joined forces with Kasina, one of the driving forces behind modern Korea’s streetwear movement.
The Korean company has been operating since way back in 1997, pioneering the streetwear scene before anyone else had there. As of recent years, Kasina and Adidas have become frequent collaborators, delivering several high quality sneakers as a team. Now, the pair are back with a brand new collaboration, and the model of choice is the shell-toe Superstar Boost.
The sneaker is said to be based on the ancient Korean “Taesahae”, a traditional form of footwear finely crafted and worn by Korean noblemen for many centuries. The colourway used is a clean white with tan detailing and a tan midsole. The finest quality leather has been used to construct the upper of the sneaker, and it looks extremely clean. Features of the sneaker include the classic Adidas shell-toe, three-stripe branding on the side of the shoe and Kasina branding on the tongue.
If you’re looking to get your hands on a pair of these ancient Korean inspired beauties, they’re set to release globally at all Consortium stockists from October the 21st. The release will be a general release, so no need to stress about copping a pair instantly on drop day, it should be a smooth process.
