by Adidas are loving collaborations recently, pumping them out by the week, and the good thing is they’ve all been of a strong standard. They recently unveiled their latest team effort with Copenhagen based streetwear legends, Wood Wood.
Established in 2002, Wood Wood have been on the scene a while and certainly know how to create the best staple streetwear pieces around. The brand are celebrating their 15th anniversary by teaming up with German sportswear giants Adidas. The sneaker of choice is one of the most successful and coveted Adidas silhouettes ever – the Gazelle.
The Adidas Gazelle itself features a long haired suede upper, a dual branded tongue label and iconic “Madness and Mayhem” branding on the heel of each shoe. The collab also features Nørrebro branding next to the three stripes, giving a subtle nod to the Copenhagen neighbourhood where Wood Wood was founded. It’s an all round premium quality sneaker, utilising much higher quality materials than a general release Gazelle.
The limited edition Adidas x Wood Wood Gazelle’s will also be releasing alongside a collaborative football shirt. This is a great addition to the collection in our opinion and features dual branding on the back of the shirt. Together, the two items make for a great capsule collection to celebrate a landmark for a classic brand.
If you’re looking to get your hands on either the sneakers or the football shirt, they’re dropping at Wood Wood’s 15th Anniversary party in the brands flagship store in Copenhagen on the 10th August. Remaining pair will make their way onto Wood Wood’s online and physical store’s from the 12th August. Expect to see extremely limited numbers of these releasing.
