AFCAT Notification 2024 Out for 304 IAF Officers Posts, Apply for AFCAT 2 Exam

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the AFCAT Notification 2024 to recruit 304 candidates for Class-I Gazetted Officers Branch and Ground Duty (Non-Technical and Technical) branches through AFCAT 2 Recruitment 2024 exam. The online registration process for AFCAT 2/2024 has been started on 30th May 2024 on the official website of www.afcat.cdac.in.

What is AFCAT Exam?

Air Force Common Admission Test is also known as AFCAT a national-level entrance examination conducted by the Indian Air Force twice a year to select both male and female candidates for multiple posts in Flying and Ground Duty [Technical and Non-Technical]. The candidates who pass the Air Force Common Admission Test-2024 (AFCAT 2 Exam) will be shortlisted for courses that start in July 2025, and they will be granted Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Non-Technical and Technical) branches.

AFCAT 2 2024 Online Registration Dates

Along with the official AFCAT Notification 2024 for AFCAT 2/2024, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has also released the complete schedule for the online registration and course to commence. AFCAT 2 Online Form 2024 has been made available from 30th May 2024 onwards. Candidates can submit their application form for the AFCAT 2 Exam by 28th June 2024. AFCAT 2 Online Form 2024

AFCAT 2 Online Form 2024 for the candidates eligible to appear for the AFCAT 2 Exam has begun on 30th May 2024 at www.afcat.cdac.in. The candidates are willing to apply for vacancies for Flying Branches and Ground-Duty (Non-Technical) Branches have to submit their applications before the last date registration date which is 28th June 2024. AFCAT 2 Application Fee 2024

The online examination fee of Rs. 550/- + GST (non-refundable) will be paid online for AFCAT entry (not applicable for NCC special entry) to get register for AFCAT 2 Exam 2024. The examination fee can be paid using credit/ debit cards/ net banking through the payment gateway.

Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification Flying Branch & Ground Duty (Non-technical)- The candidate must have scored a minimum 50% marks each in physics and mathematics at 10+2 level and a three-year graduation degree OR a BE/BTech degree with a minimum of 60% from a recognized university.
Ground Duty (Technical)- i)Aeronautical engineering (Electronics)(AE(L)): The candidate must have scored a minimum 60% marks each in physics and mathematics at 10+2 level and a degree in graduation/post-graduation in the field of engineering and technology from a recognized university.
Age Limit (as on 01/01/2025) Flying Branch- 20 to 24 years (Candidate must have born between 02/01/2001 to 01/01/2005)
Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical)-
20 to 26 years (Candidate must have born between 02/01/1999 to 01/01/2005)
Martial Status Candidates must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course and marriage is not permitted during training
Nationality Candidate must be a citizen of India as per Indian citizenship act, 1955.

Selection Process for AFCAT 2 2024

Indian Air Force (IAF) will conduct the following three stages (Written Test- AFSB Interview- Medical Examination) to shortlist eligible candidates through the AFCAT 2 2024 Exam.

Medical Examination The Indian Airforce has prescribed only two centres for Medical Examination which are the Institute of Aviation Medicine, Bengaluru and Air Force Central Medical Establishment (AFCME).

Exam Pattern

The AFACT 2 2024 Exam will be conducted in online mode for 100 questions for 3 marks each. There shall be a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer.

Salary Structure after Clearing AFCAT Exam

All selected candidates in the AFCAT 2 exam will have to undergo a one-year training period which will commence in the first week of July 2025. AFCAT cadets receive a stipend of Rs. 56,100 per month (Starting pay in Level 10). In addition to the AFCAT salary, Air Force Officers receive various allowances depending on their duties and place of assignment.
