Air Jordan 3 OG ‘True Blue – All you Need to Know | Curated Mint

With the classic colour way and Air Jordan logo not being seen on an Air Jordan 3 since its original release in 1988, we’re getting ready for the faithful 2016, Black Friday reissue.

In 2014 it looked like it was the end for the Air Jordan 3 model, with its unique patterning and ankle hugging shape destined to be locked back in the vault, as stated by Jordan Brand’s Vice President of Footwear, David Schechte. However after only two years in its dusty isolation it’s getting a new lease of life, and Nike are ready to release the newest addition of the Air Jordan 3s.

With previous releases from 2003, 2009 and 2011 having the Jumpman logo on the heel tab, the 2016 release is more faithful to the 1988 original and features the Air Jordan logo instead. If you’ve missed the elephant print, visible air bag and the cool colour way, and if your 2011s are looking a little worse for wear, you don’t have to wait long for a new addition to your collection.

Air Jordan 3 True Blue

The newest addition of the True Blue 3s comes in a classic shape that’s faithful to the original design, but comes with the benefits of modern materials, sports technology and the lessons learnt from previous models. The cool white and blue colour way is cleanly broken up with a splash of red, featured on the Jumpman logo on the tongue as well as the eyelets, making the trainers an eclectic mix of classic and extravagant styling.
