Aleali May's Air Jordan 1 Is Releasing in All Sizes

Aleali May is a world famous fashion designer, fashion consultant, and model. Recently, Nike gave her the chance to design her very own Air Jordan 1. It’s set to be the first Air Jordan designed by a woman to release in sizes for men and kids too – a pretty big deal if you ask us.

The Air Jordan 1 is definitely one of the most iconic Air Jordan‘s of all time, so it only made sense for May to pick the classic silhouette as her blank slate. Her collaboration features luxury satin construction, silver and red detailing, and a textured Swoosh. It certainly is a head-turner, and from the on-feet shots we’ve seen so far, could make the great addition to any outfit for both men and women.

Corduroy is featured on the upper of the sneaker – an interesting choice of material for an Air Jordan, but it works a lot better than you’d imagine it would. The colourway follows mainly a black/silver theme, with red detailing found on the tongue of the sneaker, and a clean white midsole. The most interesting part of this release, as mentioned before, is that it’s the first ever Air Jordan designed by a woman that isn’t exclusively for the ladies. This is a huge step in the right direction for Jordan Brand and Nike, as this model in particular is an awesome design, and it’s great that it’s available to everyone.

If you’re liking the look of this clean new take on a classic silhouette, the good news is that it’s set for a release at Nike retailers worldwide on the 28th of October. There may be a small amount of hype surrounding the release, as with any limited Air Jordan, so if you’re planning on grabbing a pair make sure you have a plan of action in mind.
