Early Life
Ángel Di María was born on 14 February 1988 at Rosario, Argentina to Diana and Miguel Di María. He had two sisters: Vanesa and Evelyn. His parents signed him for football at the age of three, and when he was four, he joined the club Rosario Central.
Benfica, 2007-2010
Di María played at Rosario Central in Argentina from 2005-2007 before joining the Portuguese Primeira Liga club Benfica for a transfer fee of €22 million. He had his first major season there in 2009-10, scoring his first career hat-trick and topping the league in assists with 11. Real Madrid

National Team Career
Di María began his Argentina national career in 2007 playing for the Argentina under-20, alongside Lionel Messi and Sergio Agüero, helping his team win the FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Canada.
