AP TET Exam 2023: The Department of School Education, Government of AP has circulated a notification regarding Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET). This is a state-level exam, which is conducted for the selection of eligible candidates as Classes 1 to 8 teachers in government schools. Those who want to become a state government teacher at the Primary & Upper Primary levels must have the required eligibility as per the notification. AP TET Exam
Department of School Education, Government of AP conducts Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) to determine the eligibility of candidates as teachers of Classes 1 to 8 in all schools of Andhra Pradesh (Government/ ZP/ MP/ Municipal/ Recognized Private Aided & Private Unaided etc.). The APTET 2023 will be conducted by the Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh in several exam centres in various districts in Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Chennai and Odisha. AP TET 2023 will be held online as a Computer Based Test (CBT). “The objective is to ensure National Standards and benchmark of Teacher quality in the recruitment process in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)”, informs the official notification of APTET.

How to Apply for APTET 2023?

- Click on the online application for the posts of the APTET Examination 2023
- Fill all the particulars in the online application carefully at appropriate places.
- Upload a recent passport size photograph and signature
- Pay the requisite amount of the application fee, if required

AP TET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
In this module, candidates can check the eligibility criteria for AP TET 2023.
Age Limit: 18 Years to 40 Years
Nationality: He/she must be a citizen of India.
Educational Qualification: The educational qualification for teacher posts is based on AP TET Notification is mentioned below.
Primary Teachers
1. Intermediate /Senior Secondary with minimum 45% marks and pass in or pursuing the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
2. 5% relaxation or such percentage as permitted by the Andhra Pradesh Government at the time of teacher education course admission regarded in minimum qualifying marks at intermediate/ Senior secondary level is suitable for SC/ ST/ Differently abled aspirants.
3. Intermediate /Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and pass in or pursuing the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. E/. Ed).
4. Intermediate /Senior Secondary with minimum 45% marks and pass in or pursuing the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
5. NCTE guidelines of August 2010 quote’s aspirants who qualified prior to August 2010 are eligible with the above-said qualification or percentage of marks.
6. B.Sc./ B.A. /B. Com pass or pursue the final year of a 2-year diploma in elementary education.
Upper Primary Teachers
1. B.Sc./ B.A./ B.Com. Pass with a minimum of 45% marks and pass in or pursue the 1-year bachelor in education.
2. 5% Relaxation in minimum qualifying marks in 12th Class/ Senior Secondary level is allowed for ST/ SC /Differently abled candidates.
3. The quantum relaxation in terms of Andhra Pradesh state government orders provided at the time of respective teacher education course admission with qualifying marks in B.A/ B.com / B.Sc degree is allowed for ST/ SC/ BC/ Differently abled candidates.
4. If the aspirants have not secured the requisite amount of percentage in bachelor’s degree but secured post-graduation in relevant school subjects, she/he will be eligible for applying for paper 2 (a) (b).
5. B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Pass with at least 50% marks and pass in or pursue 1 year B. Ed Special Education Course.
AP TET Certificate Validity
The AP TET-qualified candidates will be awarded the eligibility certificates. The APTET certificates would remain valid for life. The AP TET certificate contains the following details:
1. Name and address of the candidate
2. Registration number
3. Year/ Month of award of a certificate
4. Marks obtained in each paper
5. Class level of its validity (Class 1 to 5/, 6 to 8 or Both)
Weightage to APTET 2023 scores for Teacher Recruitment in AP
The APTET Marks & Scores will be added in the DSC Exam Final Results. The Andhra Pradesh State Government giving the 20% Marks. Weightage for AP TET Exam in AP DSC 2023. This APTET 20% Marks Weightage will be given for all the APTET candidates in DSC 2023 Recruitment of all the Posts.
AP TET 2023 Exam Pattern

- Mode of Exam: The entrance exam will be organized in online.
- Duration of Exam: The entrance exam will be organized for 2 hrs. 30 minutes duration only.
- Language of Exam: The applicant will have to appear for the entrance exam in the English language.
- Total Number of Questions: The question paper of the entrance exam will contain a total of 150 questions for the applicants to answer.

AP TET 2023 Syllabus
AP TET 2023 Paper-I Syllabus
- The test portions on Child Development & Pedagogy will focus on the Educational Psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the primary level.
- Language–I of AP TET Paper-I: Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Odiya are offered as First languages in the schools under the state’s syllabus. Candidates have to choose among these 6 languages and he/she must have studied that language as a study medium or first language up to class X.
- The candidates who studied CBSE/ ICSE curriculum can choose the Language which they studied up to Class X.
- The Language-II shall be English for all the candidates.
- The syllabus for Language-I & II shall be based on Proficiency in the Language, Elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.
- The syllabus for Mathematics & Environmental Studies is designed on the basis of topics of Classes I to V.
AP TET 2023 Paper-II(A) and Paper-II(B) Syllabus
- The test portions on Child Development & Pedagogy will focus on Educational Psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the Elementary level for Paper-II (A) Physical Education Pedagogy for Paper-II (B) will focus on the Elementary level.
- As Language-I other than Language teachers have to choose between Telugu, Urdu, Kannada, English, Hindi, Tamil, Odiya, and Sanskrit, Candidate must have studied the chosen language as a study medium or first language up to class X.
- The candidates who studied CBSE/ ICSE curriculum can choose the Language which they studied up to Class X.
- Language Teachers have to choose the Language of their study in Pandit Training concerned under Language-I of TET Paper II-(A).
- For Physical Education Teacher a candidate has to choose one among five Languages Telugu, Urdu, Tamil, Odiya, and Kannada as Language I of TET Paper-II (B).
- The syllabus for Language-I & II for Paper-II(A) shall be based on proficiency in the Language, Elements of Language, Communication and Comprehension abilities.
- For Physical Education Teachers the syllabus for Language-I & II shall be based on proficiency in the Language, Elements of Language, Communication and Comprehension abilities.

AP TET 2023 Qualifying Marks
The candidates have to score more than APTET 2023 Qualifying marks to pass the examination which has been tabulated below for each category.

APTET 2023 Exam Centers
The AP TET is conducted online in 13 districts and centres at Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Odisha. Candidates need to choose the district of their choice. If a session capacity of a particular district or centre is exhausted, then the candidate needs to select another date and session at the available districts. If a candidate fails to opt examination centre on the prescribed date, the education department will allot the centre. The allotment of centres is at the discretion of the department and a request for a change of centres or exam sessions is not allowed under any circumstances. Candidates are allotted the exam centre from among the 5 preferences given by them.
APTET 2023 Answer Key 2023
The AP TET answer key 2023 will be released soon after the conduct of the exam. Initially, the Department of School Education, the government of AP will release the provisional answer key to invite objections from candidates. AP Teacher Eligibility Test 2023 Merit List
1. After the written exam is completed the board authorities plan to announce the TET merit list. The board authorities issue the Andhra Pradesh TET 2023 merit list on their web portal. After the exam is completed for 15 days the board authorities declare the eligibility test merit list. The AP state board authorities may issue the exam merit list on the official website. Once the board issue the exam merit list in the candidate visit the official site and check the test merit list. After a few days, the board prepares the AP TET Merit list 2023. The board authorities prepare the merit list by using the cutoff marks. The state board authorities issue the selected list file on their portal.
