Common Problems & Solutions
-
Error: “Address Match / Multiple Connections Found”
-
Cause: Someone in your household (same address) already has a gas connection.
-
Solution: You must surrender the old connection or submit a declaration proving you are a separate household (separate kitchen) if living in a joint family.
-
-
Error: “e-KYC OTP Not Received”
-
Cause: Mobile number not linked to Aadhaar or network congestion.
-
Solution: Update mobile number at an Aadhaar Seva Kendra or choose “Normal KYC” (Manual upload of documents) instead of e-KYC.
-
-
Error: “Distributor Not Actioning Application”
-
Cause: Distributor backlog.
-
Solution: Visit the distributor personally with your Reference Number. If they still delay, file a complaint on the MyLPG portal.
-
-
Problem: “Address Proof mismatch”
-
Cause: Current address differs from Aadhaar address.
-
Solution: Use a Rent Agreement or current Utility Bill (Electricity/Water) as the valid address proof. Do not rely solely on Aadhaar if the address is old.
-
-
Problem: “Hidden/Extra Charges”
-
Solution: You only need to pay for the Cylinder Security Deposit, Regulator, Suraksha Hose, and Admin fee. Buying a gas stove/burner from the distributor is NOT MANDATORY. You can buy it from outside.
