BPSC 69th Exam 2023 Selection Process
Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC)will conduct the selection process in 3 stages for which we have provided the complete details below as mentioned in BPSC 69th Notification 2023:
- Preliminary Examination (Qualifying): Candidates will first have to appear for the Preliminary Written Exam. This exam serves as a screening test and consists of multiple-choice questions. It is qualifying in nature. The syllabus for the prelims exam is provided below in this article.
- Mains Examination: Candidates who qualify in the prelims exam will be eligible to appear for the Mains Written Test. The main exam is more comprehensive and covers a wider range of subjects. It consists of descriptive-type questions, and the syllabus will also be specified in the official notification.
- Interview: Candidates who successfully clear the main written test will be shortlisted for the interview stage. This is a personal interaction round where candidates’ communication skills, personality traits, and subject knowledge are assessed by a panel of experts.
BPSC 2023 Exam Pattern
The pattern for each stage of the BPSC 69th CCE exam 2023 has been discussed below.
- The BPSC 69th Prelims exam will be of General Studies carrying 150 marks and the duration of the Prelims exam is 2 hours.
- BPSC 69th Prelims exam is of a qualifying nature only.
- BPSC 69th Mains Exam consists of 4 subjects- General Hindi, General Studies Paper 1 & Paper 2 and an optional paper.
- The duration of each paper in the BPSC 69th Mains Exam is 3 hours.
- There will be a negative marking of ⅓ mark for each incorrect answer.
- The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks scored in Mains & Interview only.

BPSC 2023 Admit Card
BPSC 69th Notification 2023 has been released on the official website along with prelims and mains exam date. The BPSC 69th Admit Card for the prelims exam will be issued tentatively 10 to 15 days before the exam date to all the candidates who have successfully submitted their application form. The candidates qualifying Prelims exam will be issued with BPSC 69th Mains Admit Card 2023.
