Nothing can resist a cat easy laying herself gracefully on your lap, or stealing your penis during your holidays. It’s no coincidence that the Greeks called their cat-goddess Artemis: you might not be able to see the sun better than cats do, but for sure kittens can do things that other animals can’t. It’s true that cats don’t always behave like wet nurses, purring and kneading whenever you want. But who are we to argue, after all, we are their slaves.
And having been a cat mum for nearly two decades now, it seems they’ve been an almost unbroken presence in my life. There’s nothing more graceful than a cat, even when it’s spasming in a feline Epilepsy crisis. And nothing more hilarious. Cats are the most baffling of puzzles, as Jean Cocteau once opined. They simultaneously represent the best and worst friends you’ll ever have. As if by chance, you come home after a draining day at work, and there are your cats, sprawled out at the threshold, welcoming you back, eyes flirting with you.
Cat coloring pages for kids and adults
Why not when you can be there with them when they’re not there too? Of course, I have in mind colouring – something that can be done to share how much children, or grownups, like their little friends, and that might produce works of art that can help to keep them happy. Because colouring is so good for us – especially children, but also many adults – it can be a soothing way to while away a few minutes, and then a few more. And an offshoot, as I see it, is that a bit of extra personality can be injected into these little creatures.
Thus the reason why I gathered a collection of cat colouring pages. Black-and-white cat colouring pages. Colouring pages of ghetto cats and felines with a more realistic appearance. Realistic cat colouring pages. So, whether you are a professional or a beginner, you might find something for yourself. Here are all those free printable, cat colouring pages to enjoy.
Click on the image you wish to colour and the PDF file (in high resolution and full size) will open in a new tab. You can then go ahead and print it out or import it into your device. Have your colouring pencils ready, and have a relaxing me-time.

How to use these free printable coloring pages?
You can color these free printable sheets in two ways: digitally and physically.
You can download the image to a digital device by clicking on it in order to colour these pages. The full-resolution letter-size file will open in a separate tab. Save the colouring book image to your phone or computer. Import it to your digital device (such as an iPad) and add colour to it using colouring software (such as Procreate) to colour the sheet.
If you wish to use the traditional way of colouring these pages, simply click on the image of your choice and download it on your device. Then, you can print it out and use the colouring utensil of your choice (coloured pencils, crayons or markers).
You’ll want to start with the right-hand colour, let’s say it’s a yellow, and then you might move to an orange and so on and so forth until you get to the right-hand page which will be a dark purple. Sometimes have a drawer full of those eight photocopies of a page to see what happens when a light yellow becomes a dark red.

Cat Coloring Pages – 59 Brand New Printable Sheets
What area is funnier to hide in than our shoes? This tiny cat has decided to cozy up in a pair, as can be seen in the cat colouring page below.
He is definitely well-situated in his new favourite place and, for now, I hope nobody needs those shoes.
You know the others – they like to play. They love chasing toys and playing with new dogs.
In this amusing cat colouring page we see a playful kitten busy having fun unravelling his favourite toy – a ball of wool – obviously not expecting to be caught!
A kitty has been naughty again. This colouring piece pictures a cat inside a hat box modelling this flowery hat that is inside.
She knows the hat looks good on her. Do you like this colour flower or this colour flower?
This cute cat colouring is sleeping and sweet dream in a mat. Cat like to play sometimes but love to sleeping, they can sleep 16 hours in a day sometimes.
The feline has the fluffy coat with the different-coloured patches to be individual. Now you can try to colour the coat in any possible colours. Or you aaaaan even perhaps match it with the realbred of a cat.
The mat is a simple design that you can also do or create with your own favourite colours and patterns.
What kind of background setting can you think of for this scene?
Every cat needs a friend! Perhaps opposites do indeed attract in the printable below, where a short fluffy, collared feline sits next to her much taller friend, whose tail is wrapped around her.
These two probably love to spend time together and play.
Here’s a cat coloring sheet featuring a little cutie. Yup, this is a kitten, and it has only recently been born, which explains why it is looking happy. Furthermore, you can colour some markings on its fur.
You can also leave some areas of the cat blank and draw extra markings and patterns that can be coloured in too.
You could probably also throw in some decorative flourishes and perhaps some toys for the cat to play with?
What kind of environment are we thinking of?
Look at this little cute kitten. Sitting with a small heart-shaped balloon and a small ball in a heart shape that is on the neck.
He seems to have brought the balloon just for you.
A dancing midget cat is coming on this colouring page. This amusing cat is walking upward in the tail. When it is friendly and self-confident, cats lift the tail up. With little tiny ears and nose, it appears so little and curious.
You can paint the stripes of the cat’s body with variants of the same colour, or combinations of different colours.
What sounds like a good background setting for the colouring page?
A park, street, or a beautiful living room to me!
You can never have too many friends, especially if you’re a cat.
On this page there are 100 cats piled on top of each other sharing one little cat bed. Naturally, this leads me to ask “How many can you spot on this colouring-in page?”
Hunting and stalking are a part of a cat’s natural instincts.
You might see them crouching low, ready to pounce on a toy or a bug, like the colouring page on the next page. What do you think this cat is looking at?
Assume you’re going to melt from cuteness in this next scene. There’s another kitten to colour in this time. This one looks like it is ready for play.
However, as is well-known, everyone knows that cats love a ball of yarn (there’s one of them right there, beside this one here).
A ball of yarn is an object that could come in any number of hues, and it can still add that sweet splash of colour if you stick to greys and tans for the cat.
What colors and mediums will you use for this cat?
The next one in this series of cat colouring images shows a cat standing on his back legs holding a small fish in his left hand. Cats are very intelligent animals, they learn tricks as well as dogs.
This cat’s outfit includes a bow tie. She seems very elegant and sophisticated wearing one. The colour of the bow tie can be bright. This will make it look more attractive when contrasted with the dark fur.
You can also color the cat’s face and belly with lighter colors.
A titmouse: bee-ee-ee. Another cat: The cat in the coloring page below is also fond of playing. He looks so delighted that he is given two balls to play with.
He has hearts around his head… his head is full of hearts… He is loving it. And he is beaming. Any chance he knows how to play baseball?
Oh no. An interested cat has picked up on his prey drive for the fish bowl and will suffer the consequences.
And, to be fair, one can’t help but think the fish doesn’t seem too concerned about the matter; perhaps he’s a great friend and they play a game like this.
In the printout provided below, it is a fluffy-furred feroea wearing a large control-top stocking cap with a star attached to the front, perhaps as a small deterrant to make sure she stayed out of harm.
An add free reminder: all those other cat colouring sheets are optional for those who want to colour even more!
This is a scary looking cute cat. It is dressed up for Halloween as a bat.
Have you ever wondered why there are so many cats in Halloween decorations?
People treat cats like the devil because, in a way, they are a living version of the devil – a nocturnal, solitary, old-timey symbol of primal darkness.
Or you can paint the wings black or some other dark colour, or you can paint them to look real with different lighter and darker colours, all varying in different textures. What would have happened here, say, if you coloured this as a black cat wearing a black outfit? Scary!
The cat is wearing a a bow tie at its neck, making for a classy and funny touch.
Some household cats lead an outside life. They spend most of their time out and about in the area and return home whenever they feel like it.
This cat likes to look at the moon and stars in the night sky. He has a name collar, so that if he gets lost, he can be given back to his parents.
Have you ever seen a cat hatching from an egg?
You have now, because that is what the cutest image of all time absolutely features.
a cute little kitten is hatching out of an egg! It’s a great fantasy scenario! This is totally adorable just as it is, but it also provides a great deal of detail for you to fill in!
Even the egg has some pattern detail, but you could add more if you wanted to make it even more detailed.
It will be among the most fascinating in the anthology when you have finished it.
Sometimes cats believe that they are almost royalty. In this cat colouring page, a lovely cat looks rather spoiled.
She is seated at a fluffy chair topped with a pristine crown, amidst flowers tucked into her natural updo, profiled in a silky shirt and ruffled collar: a cat turned fashion plate!
There is a ballerina cat we have. She is dressed as a dancer and she loves to dance. The cat is wearing a tutu and ballet dancing.Cats are curious by nature and mostly very energetic, like to play and climbing, such as climbing to high places.
Isn’t it just happy – dancing on its little back legs?
What sort of dancer, do you think, is this cat?
What is happening in the scene can be accentuated by colouring the tutu pink. The soft, furry cat on the other hand can be coloured either in brown, orange, silvers or black.
This kitty would love a bright blue or purple fur coat too.
There is definitely a certain curiosity theme to these cat colouring sheets.
You would like to believe that this cat on colouring page below strolled around the neighbourhood until she found a beautiful butterfly to discover. She almost looks like she’s under a spell.
Here is another feline from our library of free cat printables, a cat that feels like he’s just awoken from an afternoon nap.
What an adorable picture! We can’t wait to see what you come up with, using all the colours and art supplies you like best.
This photo makes a splendid tranquility in our minds, and thus we will attempt to paint it with softer colours using some water colour paints or even coloured pencils to soften them.
That’s one approach we could imagine for that picture, but there are lots of other things you could do to make it fit your own needs.
Cats are some of the most beautiful and graceful animals around.
Here is a colouring sheet of a cat stalking forward in a playful manner.
Our colouring-page illustrators love a cat in a hat. This little guy’s favourite hat has been patched up where it has rubbed against his ears.
And you think he won’t bite?
He has a heart-shaped collar and a single-toothed smile. A ball of yarn sits next to him, and he is very eager to play.
We like this last little cat. It is very small and sweet, and he has a face with a very pretty smile.
For this one, we would give this happy kitty a happy, bright color scheme.
Or maybe you could keep to colours you would see on a real cat, but use some less realistic ones you like, too.
It’s entirely up to you, and we’ll be interested to see what colour this pussy looks like when you’ve finished! Have you been letting yourself go? Be sure to kitty-fy the hell out of this page!
Cats are preferable to us in greater numbers! On a colouring page, a house flocked by cats, climbing the shelves or relaxing on the couch.
One cat even looks like he is taking the picture.
Cats sleep for a long time more than humans do. They like to take a nap in a soft place.
This is how a line can break, as it does beautifully in the colouring sheet we’re delighted to present, showing a trio of cats snoozing in a cloud of a bed, with a teddy bear ready to lull them into dreamland!
Now it’s time to dress up and play in this cute photo of a tiny cat disguised as cute spinning frog– this is so cute!
For the frog costume, we would use a lot of colourful greens and yellows using some beautiful brightly coloured pens or pencils to make the colours stand out!
we would imagine that would just be right up her street, but it’s down to you as always.
There’s so many ways you can colour this dressing up kitty and we’re sure no matter what, it’ll look amazing!
In this adorable printable, a mother cat is playing with her two rambunctious kittens.
She looks busy there. She claws at you and me. No wonder: someone’s about to ride on her back while another wants to touch her, clasping her leg and rubbing against her. Kittens are work, not to mention messy.
Cats are such a silly and playful species, like the one depicted in the colouring sheet below, whose tongue is out and is about to mischief.
Who do you think she is sticking her tongue out at?
We’re not done adorable dressing up yet! The next cat colouring page has this next cat all dressed up, this time as a cute little bunny rabbit!
It’s such a cute picture, and there are so many ways you can choose to colour it in.
And you are welcome to add as many details as you like to the colours on your palette.
For instance, you could convert the picture to an Easter motif by drawing a few colourful Easter eggs around the cat!
Surprise! Imagine seeing a cat in your box of carry-out food.
The cat on the picture below looks like it’s loving the idea of hiding there, especially after it ate all those noodles.
Did you know that house cats are descended from lions and tigers?
The cat in the colouring picture below certainly resembles a tiger (how much do you want to debated about whether Scartet here is male or female?), a feline with is body covered with a spotted pattern. But he appears also really nice and tender.
Do not be decieved by this image, it is very difficult not to say ‘awwww!’ I mean here is another kitty dressed up, and this time dressed as a teddy bear!
A nice touch is that there is a big heart on the chest of the outfit, which would pair nicely with some reds and pinks.
After this, you may decide on which other fun colors you will use for the rest of the outfit and its details! Which color combination do you think choosing for this kitty teddy bear?
We love this cute coloring sheet of a cat dressed in a turtle costume.
The cat’s wearing a funny costume while tricking the animals in the garden. He’s mocking them by dressing up as one of them!
Pure contentment seems to abound on her cherubic face in this cute printable we’ve made available to download below. Don’t forget to post your completed kitty colouring sheets to our Facebook page.
This guy’s probably celebrating Halloween. Or maybe a pirate went up to him and said: ‘Arrr me hearties! A bandana I can offer thee! To the depths of the ocean blue I shall send ye if ye be not absconding soon.’ This cat has the most adorable skull bandana you’ll ever see.
You can adjut some wonderful detais on the cat that she can colour in. You can even add some extra detais and leave her space to laa a background.
Indeed, some particularly creative colours for cats and funny extra details could help you show that this cat has a vivid imagination – a ghostly pirate scenario might help!
What types of pirate details do you imagine would finish off something like that?
Here comes another tiger cat with some stripes creeping up around her middle and very nice pointy teeth. What a little older kitten all ready to explore.
The adorable cat in this coloring page feels like she could rule the world.
Or perhaps she had somehow got herself into trouble and tipped over a globe in order to play with.
Have a wonderful Spring, dear kitty! Here’s a colouring sheet of a little flower-dressed cat. Isn’t it adorable?
There are so many places on this flower that you could add some bright and beautiful colour, you could take it off in a million different directions.
You could paint all of the petals one colour, or perhaps paint each one a different colour – ooh, I’m getting dizzy just thinking about all that colour!
And on the off chance that you feel a little bit creative, then the background of your huge fresh flowers need to go through an upgrade making it even more colourful and refreshing picture.
We love its ‘flight of fancy’ in this winged cat colouring-in page!
He’ll fly to the stars and cloud-hop.But let’s hope he knows the way home.
Cats come in every available pattern and in nearly every colour which in turn means there is no one cat which is the same as another.
The face of the cat on the colouring sheet below has a mark on it. What colour is it?
She is an stray cat and her kittens are cute. I can’t tell if it’s the same mother with the kittens as from before because right now they are much more obedient. It is a colouring page.
Maybe it’s because they have a bowl of milk handy, which is one of a cat’s favourite kerfuffles.
This cat looks hungry after a long day of playing and exploring.
The colouring sheet features him about to eat that way: tuna? chicken? Some other delicious treat? What do you think he has in his food bowl?
Cats play fight as a form of recreation and to stay fit.
The two cats in the coloured artwork on the twin page below shared a ruckus typically shared by cats in playing house.
There is a ball of yarn, a bone and a sock near her.
