CBSE Class 10 SST Syllabus 2023-24: The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the latest and revised CBSE Class 10 SST Syllabus 2023-24 at the official website www.cbseacademic.nic.in. Social science is made a compulsory subject till the secondary stage as it is an integral component of general education. It also helps the learners to understand the environment in its totality, which in turn creates more responsible citizens with the necessary attributes and skills for being able to participate and contribute effectively to the process of development and nation-building. The Social Science curriculum comprises content mainly from History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics. In this article, we have provided a detailed framework of topics covered under the CBSE 10th SST Syllabus 2023-24.
CBSE 10th SST Syllabus 2023-24
The CBSE Class 10 SST Syllabus 2023-24 includes a total of four units, namely History, Geography, Political Science and Economics which are mentioned in the below table. We have also tabularized the number of periods for each unit and the number of marks allotted for each unit from the board exam perspective. The sections or chapters covered under each unit have also been described below.

- Deepen knowledge about and understanding of India’s freedom struggle and of the values and ideals that it represented, and to develop an appreciation of the contributions made by people of all sections and regions of the country.
- Help learners understand and cherish the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution and to prepare them for their roles and responsibilities as effective citizens of a democratic society.
