There are many celebrity doppelganger duos in Hollywood who are constantly being mixed up by fans. While there are lots of fan celebrity look alikes, we are focusing on famous people who look eerily similar.
It’s amazing how many celebrity look alikes there are in Tinsletown. Some of the biggest actors and actresses in the world have their very own celebrity doppelganger. Read on and discover the famous celebrities you might have mistaken for their celebrity doppelganger.
1. Margot Robbie and Jaime Pressly
Margot Robbie is one of the biggest names in Hollywood. Jaime Pressly is an Emmy award-winning actress. The two also just happen to look like each other. Both have blonde hair and similar facial features and are loved by fans far and wide. Even though Pressly is a decade older than Robbie, you can’t tell.
But it doesn’t stop there for Robbie. There are multiple actresses in Tinsletown who people think look like the celebrity. Emma Mackey and Jamie King are also often mistaken for The Wolf of Wall Street actress.
2. Bryce Dallas Howard and Jessica Chastain
These two Hollywood scarlets have been mistaken for each other so many times that they have referenced their doppelganger status in interviews and social media. Jessica Chastain recently posted a TikTok making fun of the resemblance between her and Bryce Dallas Howard. In the post, she writes, “When you spend 20yrs building a career and they still think you work at Jurassic Park,” as she lip-syncs along to a refrain of “I’m fucking sick of it.”
Howard has also poked fun at their similarities, sharing a video on Instagram where she lip-syncs to the lyrics “I am not Jessica Chastain!” It’s great to see these two not taking their mistaken identity too seriously.
3. Karen Khachanov and Liam Hemsworth
If you didn’t know any better you would think Karen Khachanov is the fourth Hemsworth brother. He is in fact a Russian tennis player currently ranked in the top 30. He has won four career titles and earned over $11 million, although he is yet to win a Grand Slam.
Liam Hemsworth, on the other hand, is an Australian actor who got his start on the soap opera Neighbours. While forever in the shadow of his older brother Chris, Liam has managed to forge a successful career in Hollywood. He starred as Gale Hawthorne inThe Hunger Games franchise, had a large role in Independence Day: Resurgence, and impressed critics in cult crime thriller Arkansas.
Khachanov even joked about being related to the Hemsworth brothers on his Instagram stories, letting his supporters know he also sees the similarities between them.
4. Minka Kelly and Leighton Meester
These two actresses look very similar. So much so that they starred together in the thriller The Roommate. In the film, the two play college roommates, Sara (Minka Kelly) and Rebecca (Leighton Meester), who look like twins. Rebecca soon becomes obsessed with Sara and goes to great lengths to stop anyone from coming between them. To be honest, it’s not a great movie but it’s incredible to see Kelly and Meester next to each and not be shocked by how similar they are.
Both are accomplished in their profession and have starred in some great movies and TV shows. Kelly’s best performances have come in hit TV shows Friday Night Lights, Almost Human, and Euphoria, while Meester has received rave reviews for her roles in The Judge, Single Parents, and How I Met Your Father.
5. Rob Lowe and Ian Somerhalder
These two look so alike that you would be mistaken for thinking they are twins. Rob Lowe and Ian Somerhalder are both great actors, although one has been around a lot longer than the other. Lowe found fame in the 80s as part of the Brat Pack, starring in films such as The Outsiders and St. Elmo’s Fire before receiving a career boost in the 90s as part of The West Wing cast. He had another resurgence in the mid-00s thanks to Parks and Recreations and is currently starring in cop drama 9-1-1: Lone Star.
Although Somerhalder hasn’t been in the business as long, making his acting debut in the 1997 TV series The Big Easy, he is just as famous thanks to his role in Lost. That helped him secure one of the leads in The Vampire Diaries, his most successful work to date.
The two are aware of they look the same, with Somerhalder telling this story while on The Kelly Clarkson Show: ”
Rob is awesome. He was so sweet, he walked up to my wife, he walked up to Nikki Reed at a – I think it was a Golden Globes party or something. She’d never met him. He grabbed her face and said, ‘This is what you’re going to be looking at in 15 years.’ He was so sweet and respectful about it. But she – but any woman who is that close to Rob Lowe is sort of like ‘Whoa.’ But it was really sweet, he’s a sweet man, it was awesome.”
6. Zooey Deschanel and Katy Perry
It’s uncanny how much these two look alike. While Katy Perry is arguably the bigger star of the two, Zooey Deschanel has also had success in the music world. The 500 Days of Summer and New Girl actress has a very successful on-screen career but has also found fame with her music. She is part of the group She & Him with M. Ward, a well renowned solo artist. Together the two have released six studio albums, including a couple of Christmas-themed records.
Of course, there is no comparison between Deschanel and Perry’s musical achievements when you look at the statistics. Perry also has six albums to her name, but she has sold 143 million records worldwide and holds countless records, such as having 18 consecutive number-one songs on theBillboardDance Club Songs chart.
Despite all this, the two are often confused for each other by fans, and on looks alone, it’s easy to see why.

In an interview with Extra TV, Braff admitted to often being mistaken for Dax Shepherd. He also said some people think he is Ray Romano, which is a strange one.
8. Emma Corrin and Jodie Foster
When Emma Corrin was cast as Princess Diana in Netflix’s hit series The Crown, fans couldn’t believe how much she resembled the former Princess. They also realized Corrin is a dead ringer for Academy Award winner Jodie Foster. The comparison is something Corrin is well aware of.
Chatting with The Hollywood Reporter in 2019, she said, “My mum has been told that she looks like Diana. She often has been mistaken for her throughout her life, which is a really weird connection. But I have never had that. I get young Jodie Foster.”
If Corrin can have a career half as successful as Foster she will go down as one of the great talents of recent years.
9. Emma Watson and Kiernan Shipka
If you put these two next to each other in a line-up, most people would be hard pressed to tell the difference. Emma Watson and Kiernan Shipka have very similar features. Not only that, but they have both played witches. Watson was in the Harry Potter franchise (although called a wizard, the term “witch” applies), and Shipka in the reinvention of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. These two look so similar they could almost pass as sisters
10. Amy Adams and Isla Fisher
These two have constantly been compared to each other throughout their time in the movie business. Amy Adams is a wonderful actress known for her roles in Doubt, The Fighter, American Hustle, and Vice. Isla Fisher on the other hand is another Australian who broke through into the mainstream thanks to Wedding Crashers, Nocturnal Animals, and Rango.
The two redheaded beauties are so alike their own families can’t tell them apart. Chatting with Vanity Fair, Fisher detailed how she replaced herself with a photo of Admas on her family’s holiday card. To make matters worse, nobody even noticed.
On a visit to the Today Show, she explained; “I cut-and-pasted Amy Adams’s face over mine, so it was Sacha, Amy, and the kids, and then we said, ‘Season’s greetings from Sacha and Isla’ …and no one noticed. Everyone was like, ‘Oh, your card was so cute.’ I was like, ‘it was a joke, it’s not me, it’s Amy!’”
11. Lili Reinhart and Amber Heard
Lil Reinhart is best known for playing Betty Copper on the surprise hit Riverdale. This was followed by well-received performances in Hustlers and the Charlie’s Angels reboot. There must be something about her face that gets people thinking, as Reinhart has been compared to a number of celebrities, including Brittany Murphy and Sarah Gadon. But the one she looks like the most is Amber Heard.
Heard is a name everyone is familiar with these days, even if you aren’t a movie fan. Her defamation case against Johnny Depp is a saga within itself and gained much publicity for Heard, most of it negative. While we won’t go into detail about the trial, Heard is a tremendous actress whose first leading role came in the underrated horror All the Boys Love Mandy Lane in 2006. Since then she has starred in Drive Angry with Nic Cage, Magic Mike XXL, Aquaman, and the TV series The Stand.

The two are often mistaken for each other in the real world, with Knightley telling this to talk show host Graham Norton.
“Natalie Portman I get [confused with still] a lot, and I get chased through airports. I feel quite sorry for her because she must get chased a lot because it’s happened like five times where someone’s been like, ‘Natalie! Natalie! Natalie!’ and I’ll sign and take a picture as Natalie.”
13. Mila Kunis and Sarah Hyland
Mila Kunis and Sarah Hyland are two more celebrities that know they are doppelgangers. Hyland first discussed her resemblance to Kunis on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She explained how she was mistaken for Kunis at the 2010 Golden Globe Awards. The star of That ’70s Show went up to Hyland and told her she kept being praised by people for her role in Modern Family. “People go up to her and say, ‘Hi. I love Modern Family. And she goes, ‘Thank you so much!’ And so I’m like, ‘You pretend to be me. Can I pretend to be you?’”
Hyland has also responded to Twitter threads about her celebrity doppelganger several times. It would be great to see these two in a movie together sometime. No doubt that would blow people’s minds.
14. Hilary Swank and Jennifer Garner
These two successful actresses are often mistaken for each other. Jennifer Garner has been acting for almost 30 years and appeared in many memorable films and TV shows. She got her start in Alias before going on to have tremendous success in movies such as 13 Going on 30, Juno, Dallas Buyers Club, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, and The Adam Project.
Swank is equally as accomplished as Garner. Some of the two-time Academy Award winner’s best performances have come in the movies Boys Don’t Cry, The Hunt, Insomnia, and Logan Lucky.
Both these two incredible talents are aware that they look the same. While talking with Conan O’Brien on his talk show Conan, Swank talked about how some fans get angry when she tells them she isn’t Garner.
“People get angry at me because they think I’m just trying not to sign an autograph or take a picture. They’ll be like, ‘Oh, God, I’m such a big fan, I loved you in Alias.’” Swank when on to explain that sometimes it is just easier for her to pretend to be Garner to keep the fans happy.
“They actually said, ‘Don’t be a b**ch,’” Swank said of some fans. “And I didn’t want to give her a bad name, so I took a photo with them, and maybe someone will say someday, ‘That’s not Jennifer Garner.’”
15. Zoe Saldana and Thandie Newton
When your own mother is getting you mixed up with someone else, you know you must be a celebrity doppelganger. Saldana confessed all on The Late Late Show With James Corden.
“My mom still thinks that I’m in Westworld. I’m like, ‘Years ago you thought that I was in Traffic. Mom, you did not give birth to Thandie Newton.’ She was like, ‘Well, your show is on HBO.’ I’m like, ‘Which one?’ She’s like, ‘Westworld.’ I said, ‘When are you going to understand I’m not Thandie Newton?!’”
Saldana’s mom isn’t the only person to get the two confused. Newton confessed in an interview that Victoria Beckham once started chatting to her thinking she was Saldana.
“We were chatting away when she said, ‘It’s so great that you are here when you are pregnant.’ I said, ‘I actually had my baby a couple of months ago.’ We carried on chatting and it was obvious she thought I was someone else so I said, ‘Do you think I am Zoe Saldana?’ Victoria was absolutely mortified!”
