- Farmers, property buyers, banks, legal professionals, and government officials who need authenticated land ownership documents for loans, property transactions, legal cases, or government schemes.
Required Documents
To check and download land records online, you typically need:
- Property/Survey Number or Khata Number or Khasra Number (depending on your state)
- Owner’s name (as recorded in revenue records)
- Village/Town name and Taluk/Tehsil details
- District name
- Mobile number (for OTP verification on some portals)
- Email ID (optional, for receiving documents)
- Aadhaar number (required for digitally signed copies in some states)
Note: No payment is required to VIEW land records. Only certified/digitally signed copies may have nominal fees (₹15-50).

- On homepage, click “खतौनी (अधिकार अभिलेख) की नकल देखें” (View Khatuani copy)
- Select your District from dropdown menu
- Select Tehsil from the list
- Select Village (gram/town)
- You’ll see 4 search options:
- By Khasra/Gata number
- By Khata number
- By Owner’s name (Khatedaar ke naam se)
- By USN (Unique Survey Number)
- Enter relevant details and click “Search”
- Land record (Khatauni) will display on screen with owner details, land area, cultivation status
- To download: Click “Print” button or take screenshot
- For digitally signed copy (fee applicable): Use “Digitally Signed Khatauni” option, pay ₹10 via UPI/Card

- Visit the Tehsildar Office/Revenue Department in your district
- Carry documents: ID proof, property details (survey/khata number)
- Submit application for land records copy (prescribed format available at office)
- Pay fee: ₹20-50 (varies by state) through cash/demand draft
- Collect receipt with application number
- Collection time: 7-15 working days

- Status shows: Pending/Under Process/Approved/Rejected
- Download document if approved
