Christmas Trees Crafted From Empty Covid-19 Vaccine Vials

In a bid to encourage people to get fully vaccinated, Brazillian and Romanian healthcare workers recently made two Christmas trees in their respective nations from empty Covid-19 and influenza vaccine vials. The Christmas tree in Brazil was put together by healthcare workers of Ernani Agricola, a community health center in Rio de Janeiro, with an intention to raise awareness regarding full vaccination.

Brazil was ravaged by the coronavirus, registering 615,000 deaths, second highest after the US. This tree looks really elegant and showcases peace, hope, and prosperity after the dark gloomy days.

The same story comes from Bucharest, Romania, where a 9-foot vaccine tree was made from approximately 19,000 vaccine containers. The tree was made predominantly from Pfizer containers at the Palatul Copiilor vaccination center. The highlighting feature of the tree is the LEDs placed inside the empty vaccine containers, adding to the beauty of the Christmas tree.

Dr. Radu Cristian, a coordinator of the vaccination center, stated, “The lower level of the Christmas tree features the Moderna containers while the gift boxes around the tree were made using Johnson & Johnson vials.” The Christmas tree was made to show gratitude to the patients who got fully vaccinated from the center and to encourage others to do so.
