CLAT 2024 Exam Date Out: Common Law Entrance Test (CLAT) is conducted for the students who want to be enrolled in Undergraduate (UG) law courses offered at 22 National Law Universities and other private Law colleges/universities accepting Law scores. CLAT is organized by the Consortium of National Law Universities consisting of representative universities, which will be conducted by NUALS Kochi this year. CLAT 2024 Exam Date Out

CMAT 2024 Exam Date has been announced and it is going to be held on 3rd December 2023(Sunday). Conducting body has already begun the CLAT 2024 registration and CLAT Application Form 2024 is now available on its official website at www.consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The Annual Executive Committee and the General Body Meetings of the Consortium of National Law Universities met at the National Law Institute University, Bhopal, and decided to schedule the CLAT Exam Date on 3rd December 2023, Sunday. Steps to fill CLAT 2024 Application Form

Step-I Registration – The candidate needs to register by entering their name, mobile number, and email id. 

Step-II Login – Log in with your Mobile number and password to access the application form.  

Step-III Choose the program of study – After logging in, the first thing is to select the program of study 5-year LLB or one-year LLB

Step-IV Fill the complete form – There will be different fields like personal information, communication details, qualifying examination status, exam center preferences (THREE centers can be selected in the order of preference), and reservation. All fields need to be filled.

Step-V Submit the form – Once the details are duly filled, agree to the declaration, give consent, and submit the form.    

Step-VI Pay the application fee – In the last step, pay the application fee (which is category-specific) in online mode using credit or debit cards, or net banking. Note that in addition to the exam fee, candidates will have to pay an additional INR 500 if they want to opt for previous years’ question papers.

Step-VII Get registered by entering details like name, email id and mobile number. Upload scanned copies of signature, photograph and other documents in the prescribed specification. The size and format of pic is given below.

CLAT 2024 Application Fees

CLAT 2024 Admission Process

In order to get admission to one of the 22 participating NLU’s, candidates need to appear for the CLAT 2024 online entrance exam, which will be conducted by NUALS Kochi this year.

Post that, the counselling round will start after the declaration of results, where the candidates will be granted a seat in the preference order of the NLU (as filled in the online application form), based on seat availability and merit list.

CLAT Exam Pattern for UG Course

The CLAT question paper for UG Course will only be available in the English language. The UG-CLAT 2024 shall be a 2-hour test, with 150 multiple-choice questions carrying 1 mark each. Also, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.

CLAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The terms and conditions that the candidate has to fulfill for appearing in CLAT 2024, depending on the course (UG) the candidate is seeking for admission in Law School, are covered by CLAT 2024 eligibility criteria.

Eligibility criteria for UG program

Education Qualification: The candidate must have passed a 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognised university or board.

Percentage Requirement: A minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying degree is required to appear in CLAT 2024. SC and ST candidates need only 40% marks.

Age limit: There is no upper age limit.

CLAT 2024 Admit Card

The CLAT Admit Card will be released around two weeks before the exam dates. As the exam is scheduled to be held on 3rd December 2023, the admit card tentatively will be released in the last week of November 2023.

CLAT 2024 Result

The authority will announce the result of CLAT 2024 once the exam is conducted successfully. Candidates can access the CLAT result in online mode only. The result will consist of the roll number, candidate details, and marks scored by the candidate. To qualify for the CLAT exam, the candidate needs to obtain minimum qualifying marks.
