Fresh off the back of their epic collaboration with Nike, CLOT have joined forces with Converse to release two silhouettes utilising unique materials you wouldn’t quite expect to find on a sneaker.
Chinese retailer CLOT are known for their classic collaborations with Nike, like the “Kiss of Death” Air Max 1, and their more recent Air Force 1. Now the retailer have teamed up with none other than Converse to put their very own spin on the One Star and Chuck Taylor 70’s silhouettes. However, instead of following usual construction methods, the brand have used interesting and unique textiles for the upper.
The One Star silhoutte features a navy/grey fuzzy suede upper, giving the sneaker a more refined and classy look, and the iconic star logo usually found on the side of the shoe has been moved to the rear heel panel. The Chuck Taylor 70’s sneaker showcases a wheat coloured herringbone upper, as well as black leather detailed and navy blue Converse branding. Both silhouettes are extremely low-key, yet effortlessly stylish.
Thankfully, if you want to get your hands on a pair of these beauties you won’t have to wait too long either. You’ll be able to pick your pair up from February the 8th at select retailers around the globe. Although there isn’t a specific hype surrounding the release, be aware that these may well be produced in extremely limited numbers.
