CUET 2024 Exam Date Out: CUET (Common University Entrance Test) exam is conducted every year by National Testing Agency (NTA) to enroll students into various UG programs offered at all central universities including DU, JNU, JMI, EFLU and the University of Allahabad. As per the NTA Exam Calendar 2024-25, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET 2024) will be conducted in between 15th to 31st May 2024. Students aiming to study undergraduate programmes in central universities have to appear in the CUET which is now mandatory. A student’s Board marks will have no role in determining his/her admission to a college or a programme. It will be based only on his/her CUET marks, however, board marks could be the minimum eligibility criteria for admission.  

CUET 2024 Exam: An Overview

CUET 2024 Important Dates

CUET 2024 Application Form

CUET 2024 application form for the UG courses will be opened in February 2024 by the National Testing Agency. CUET 2024 Registration process is to be conducted at https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/. The CUET application form 2024 process would comprise steps including registration, application, image upload and payment. The candidates looking forward to admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at several centrally-funded universities must have to submit online applications at the official website

CUET 2024 Application Fee

CUET 2024 Application Fee can be paid by debit/credit card/net banking or Challan of SBI bank any branch. Candidates have to pay the application fee either online or offline mode. GST and other taxes will be applicable as by Govt. of India/ Bank. Check category-wise CUET 2024 Application Fee from the below table. 

How to fill CUET Application Form 2024?

The candidates have to fill out CUET Application Form 2024 to get registered for the Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET). Follow the below steps to fill CUET 2024 Application Form. 

Step 1 – Visit the official website of the CUET to fill CUET Application Form 2024.

Step 2 – Click on the ‘Apply Online’ tab to register for the programme. 

Step 3 – After clicking, candidates will be able to see three programmes options- UG, PG, and RP. Click on the link you wish to apply for. 

Step 4 – Complete the registration process by entering details like program applied for, name, valid e-mail-id, mobile number, date of birth, and verification code displayed on the screen. 

Step 5 – Once all details are submitted, the application number and password are generated and are sent to the registered email address and mobile number. 

Step 6 – Use the application number and password to log in and fill up the application form by entering the log-in details like personal, academic qualification and communication address.

Step 7 – Upload scanned images of a recent passport-sized photograph and signature in the prescribed format and dimensions. 

Step 8 – Select the examination centres- In order of preference, select and enter the exam centres.

Step 9 – On successful online application submission with payment of fees through an automated e-mail and SMS is sent to the registered e-mail ID and mobile number. 

CUET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to appear for the CUET 2024 Exam can check the required eligibility criteria set by the National Testing Agency for admission to UG (undergraduate) & PG (postgraduate) Courses before they start filling out their application form.

CUET Educational Qualification

The academic qualifications for CUET based courses has been discussed below for each course. Check the CUET Academic Qualification for the course you are going to opt for. 

• Candidates who have passed the class 12 /equivalent examination or are appearing in 2024 irrespective of their age can appear in CUET (UG) – 2024 examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria (if any) of the University / Institution / Organization in which they are desirous of taking admission.
• The student must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in class 12th for General category candidates and 45% marks for SC/ST candidates.

CUET Reservation

As CUET is an entrance exam for admissions to UG courses at the Central Universities, which have been established under an Act of the Parliament, each Central University must follow the norms set by the Government of India, with respect to intake and reservation of seats. This section of the CUET Eligibility provides relaxation to the SC/ST, OBC, and PwD category.

1. CUET 2024 will be conducted in online mode this year, earlier, the exam was offline. 

2. CUET (UG) – 2024 will consist of the following 4 sections namely-

➢ Section IA – 13 Languages 

➢ Section IB – 20 Languages 

➢ Section II – 27 Domain-specific Subjects 

➢ Section III – General Test

3. The question paper will be MCQ type only and there will be a total of 175 questions out of which 140 questions are to be attempted.

4. A Candidate can choose a maximum of any 3 languages from Section IA and Section IB together.

5. Section II consists of 27 Subjects, out of which a candidate may choose a maximum of 6 Subjects.

CUET 2024 Syllabus

The syllabus for the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUET) will consist of various topics from the related previous academic syllabus. The CUET Syllabus 2024 for UG courses will be from the 11th and 12th academic syllabus and for PG courses, the syllabus will be from the academic syllabus of the related undergraduate syllabus.

CUET 2024 Exam Centers

CUET 2024 will be held at more than 154 centres in various states. The candidates have to select the choice of exam centres while filling out their CUET Application Form. Below is the list of CUET Exam Centres 2024. 

CUET 2024 Result

CUET 2024 Result will release on the official website cuet.samarth.ac.in within 1 month of the conduction of the examination. The result is displayed in online mode only. To check the result of CUET 2024, the candidates need to enter their login details generated at the time of registration. The CUET Result 2024 consists of the score obtained in the entrance exam and its qualifying status.

CUET 2024 Cut Off

The CUET Cut Off 2024 will be released after the CUET 2024 exam is completed. The CUET Cut Off will be released along with the scorecard of the entrance examination. Only the candidates who score more than the Cut Off marks are invited to participate in online/offline CUET counselling by the relevant authority. The CUET Cut Off will be based on the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, previous year cut off marks and the number of seats available. The cut-off marks may vary depending upon the programmes and the universities.

CUET 2024 Counselling

Each participating university will begin its CUET 2024 counselling process post the release of the CUET Result 2024. The candidates have to visit the official website of the participating universities of CUET 2024 regularly to participate in the counselling process as they have to register themselves in the counselling of CUET 2024 and select the desired programmes within a limited period of time. While participating in the counselling, candidates have to carry the required documents along with them for verification. Based on the choices filled by the candidates, the admission lists of CUET 2024 will be released for the allocation of the seats after CUET 2024 Counselling.
