Delhi Police Constable Selection Process

The selection of the eligible candidates will be done through a 2-tier selection process which begins with a Computer-Based Examination followed by a Physical Endurance & Measurement Qualifying Test. The candidates qualifying for Delhi Police Constable CBE will be called for PE & MT and the final selection will be done through their performances/scores in second stage.

To begin with your preparation for Delhi Police Constable CBT, you must be familiar with the exam pattern to be followed by the Staff Selection Commission for the Delhi Police Constable Recruitment 2023.   1. There will be 100 Multiple Choice Questions asked in Delhi Police Constable CBT.
  2. Each question carries 1 mark.
  3. The time duration for the test will be 90 minutes (1 hour 30 minutes)and there will be no sectional timing.
  4. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
  5. There will be 4 sections in CBT namely- Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, Quantitate Aptitude, Computer Awareness. Check the marks distribution for each section from the below table

Delhi Police Physical Standard and Endurance Test

The candidates who score more than the cut-off marks will have to appear for Physical Standard and Endurance Test that is in the final selection stage. The parameters to be considered for Physical Standard and the endurance test for the Delhi Police Constable Recruitment are discussed below-.

Delhi Police Physical Standard Requirements

The measurements of height & chest for male candidates will be done in this test & only height for females. The minimum requirement as per the category has been tabulated below-

For Male Candidates

Height 170 cms Categories are other than given below.
165 cms For residents of Hill areas i.e. Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Leh & Ladakh. and For ST candidates and sons of either serving, retired or deceased Delhi Police personnel/Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police.
Chest 81-85 (Minimum 4 cms expansion) 5 cms relaxation for residents of Hill areas as listed above, ST, and for sons of either serving, retired or deceased Delhi Police personnel/Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police.

For Female Candidates

Height 157 cms Categories are other than given below.
155 cms For residents of Hill areas i.e. Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Leh & Ladakh. and SC/ ST candidates.
