Dubrovnik’s only nightclub was built around the 16th century in the form of the Ravelin Towers, just outside the city walls, near the Plos Gate. The historic setting, weathered architecture with stone staircases, vaulted ceilings, exposed stone walls, a gable roof and wide-open arches, make it a perfect venue for summer dance parties. The venue claims to host many international DJs such as Boy George, Paul Van Dyk, R3HAB and Fatboy Slim. A big New Year party and sometimes winter concerts are also organized by them.

If they ran a regular program, it could become one of the best places to enjoy the Dubrovnik nightlife. DJ performances and live events are coming in full swing. Located in a rugged old stone ex-quarantine barracks, it’s as nice a place as it can get. After paying, you walk into an open courtyard under the stars. The main building has a balcony area at the bottom with a bar, dance floor and a stage for live acts, as well as a DJ deck.

To reach Banje, guests can travel by land or sea. It has a spectacular beach with a private pier to anchor your yacht, boat or muddy water and is the best place to enjoy the Dubrovnik nightlife. A fine dining Mediterranean, seafood-oriented restaurant, looks like this during the day. As night falls, it turns into a cocktail bar club on the beach. Although it’s usually rented out for high-end fashion parties, the prices at this place are reasonable and it’s definitely not intimidating.

This small wine bar is located in a narrow stone alley and is definitely worth a visit, thanks to its knowledgeable and friendly waiters who introduce you to an impressive and expressive range of Croatian wines. You can get them either by the glass or by the bottle, just like any other bar. You can also choose to sample each one and learn a lot about the history as well as the practices followed by regional wineries. Wine tasting ‘flights’ also include platters or cooked meats and cheeses. Quiet music, candlelight and terracotta-tiled floors provide a relaxing, cozy atmosphere.

At the end of Stradun, a 17th-century stone building is occupied by this fantastic wine bar. It is very close to the Rector’s Palace. This impressive space spans four floors and features low lighting, mismatched wooden furniture and melodious music as well as additional seating on a large terrace. A wide selection of Croatian wines is available here. Looking at Stradun, it is quite expensive as a place to visit, especially due to the prime location.
