Apple TV+ unveils the trailer for “The Lost Bus” by Paul Greanggrass, with Matthew McConaughey and America Ferrera in a story centered on the 2018 Camp Fire fire.

The film is based on the novel by Lizzie Johnson, Paradise: One Town's Struggle to Survive An American Wildfirewhich recounts the deadliest fire ever in this state – despite recent fires in Los Angeles. The Oscar -winning actor and the nominated actress at the Oscars embody Kevin McKay and Mary Ludwig, a bus driver and a teacher who helped save a bus filled with children respectively.

Paul Greanggrass, known in particular for having signed three of the five Jason Bourne, ensured the production of the film and also co-wrote the scenario with Brad Ingelsby, the creator of Mare of Easttown. About the project, Greengrass told The Hollywood Reporter : “The Lost Bus is the story of a discreet heroism, that of people who unimaginable. I am honored that this story was entrusted to me.“”

Jamie Lee Curtis had the idea of ​​the project after hearing Lizzie Johnson on NPR, public radio. Curtis is a producer via his company Comet Pictures, while Jason Blum produces for Blumhouse Productions. In addition to McConaughey and Ferrera, the casting includes Yul Vazquez, Ashlie Atkinson and Spencer Watson.

The Lost Bus will be released on Apple TV+ (and in some rooms in the United States) this fall.
