The next “The Assassin” series by Prime Video, with Keeley Hawes and Freddie Highmore, is revealed through a first trailer that offers the old “Good Doctor” a whole new role on television…
This good Doctor Shaun Murphy left his medical blouse, his scalpels – and his fictitious American accent – behind him to embark on a new project! Freddie Highmore indeed regains his British origins, alongside Keeley Hawes (Bodyguard), to embark on a fierce run, as we discover in the first trailer of the Series The Assassin which has just been revealed (via Deadline).
The first images of the Prime Video project stage Julie (Hawes), a retired killer, and her son Edward (Highmore), from which she is separated, at the heart of a drama with important issues. They are forced to flee a paradise paradise island when Julie’s tragic past catches her. Between the questions of paternity of Edward and the past of Julie wages, the duo fled through Europe, fighting together for their survival. Their dysfunctional relationship is put to the test.

Alongside Keeley Hawes And Freddie Highmoreboth executive producers of the show, The assassin Also features Gina Gershon (Riverdale, New Amsterdam), Shalom Brune-Franklin (The Tourist), Jack Davenport (The Morning Show, Pirates of the Caribbean), Alan Dale (Dynasty, Lost), Gerald Kyd (Abysses, Legends), Devon Terrell (Cursed), Richard Dormer (Game of Thrones) David Dencik (dying can wait).
The British series in six parts was written and created by the Harry and Jack Williams brothers (The TouristBoat Story, The Missing), with Krissie Ducker (Killing Eve, Sweetpea), Hamish Wright (meaning other) – Executive producers – and Selina Lim (Sex Education) also in the scenario.
The Assassin will make its debut on Prime Video UK on July 25. We do not know yet when she is available with us.
