GATE 2025 to be conducted by IIT Roorkee, Check Eligibility and Other Details

As a part of it, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee planning to organize the Graduate Aptitude Engineering Test (GATE) in the year 2025 along with the new web portal https://gate2025.iitr.ac.in/ as well. It is national-level examination and the candidates who want to appear for the GATE 2025 can appear as an eligible candidate for this examination by completing any government approved degree program in engineering/technology/architecture/science/commerce/arts/humanities, or candidates are next or final year students in UG program in any of the mentioned subjects can fill the GATE application form. It will be available on the official portal after releasing the official notification, once it made available make sure to read all the eligibility criteria carefully.

This will conducted as a computer based test which has 30 tests and appeared candidates are allowed to appear two maximum subject. This exam includes one section on general aptitude another recognized subject by candidates. Candidate are advised to go through exam pattern and syllabus of the upcoming Graduate Aptitude Engineering Test to scored maximum marks and admissible on their wanted courses.

What is GATE Exam?

Graduate Aptitude Test planned for the developing Engineers is all India exam which will bring the caring result for in fields of candidates by estimating and realize candidates power of realtionship in undergraduate subjects consist of Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, Humanities etc that will be included in this examination, candidates will be given freedom to choose their favourite two subjects among 30 considering all proficient words. this exam is conducted by the National Coordinating Board under Ministry of Human Resources Development, Department of Education, Government of India in conjunction with IISC Bengaluru and seven IITs.

GATE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

IIT Roorkee has dehonoureded some basic eligibility cleterion which are mandatory for candiate to know for applying GATE 2025. Candidates must have a bachelor’s /master’s degree in their respective subjects.

All those appearing for BE/BTech/BArch/BPharma/BS/Integrated master’s course and SC/ST/PWD candidates who have completed any governmentapproved degreeprogrammes inEnginer- ing/Technology/Architecture/Scie- nce/Commerce/Humanities/Arts or who currently in their third or higher year of any UG programme are eligible to appear for GATE 2025.

The examination is open to candidates who are Indian nationals, or overseas citizens of India. The candidates who have appeared for the final year of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifying exam and are awaiting results are also eligible for this examination.

Candidates who are pursuing or have completed qualifying degree from any country other than India are also eligible to appear for this examination. They should have completed three years of Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology/architecture/science/commerce/arts/humanities.

GATE 2025 Exam Pattern

The Graduate Aptitude Engineering Test with duration of 180 minutes which is 3 hours will be conducted at selected examination centres. The selected subject section will contain only question Type i.e.MCQs, Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and/or Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions. General Aptitude Test will be for 15 marks for all 30 papers .There will be no negative marking in MSQ/NAT Questins,but forought answer in MCQ,marks will be cut for every wrong answer. For every wrong answer in 1 mark ques Question 1/3 marks will be cut and for 2 marks ques 2/3 marks will be cut.

General Aptitude:- 15 marks

Engineering Mathematics:- 13 marks

Selected Subject:- 72 marks

Total:- 100 marks
