Here it all begins: what awaits you in episode 996 on Thursday, September 5, 2024 [SPOILERS]

Thibault ready to win back Jasmine?

Jasmine (played by Zoï Sévérin) and Jim haven’t slept all night. And for good reason, Thierry, Naël’s teddy bear, has disappeared and there’s no way to get his hands on him again. Thibault comes across the two lovers with an exhausted face, which makes him smile.

A few minutes later, Carla and Bérénice come face to face with Thibault… stuck in the bushes. Bérénice helps him out, and asks him if he is looking for something. He answers that he lost his water bottle, then takes a look at the ground and discovers Naël’s famous comforter.

Leaving the Institute, Carla meets Jasmine and Naël. The little boy is holding his unicorn stuffed animal in his arms. Carla asks Jasmine where she found Thierry, and the latter replies that the stuffed animal was in front of her apartment door. She doesn’t know that he left it there.

After this discussion, Carla pays Thibault a little visit. She wants to know why he didn’t tell Jasmine that he was the one who found the teddy bear. Then, she asks him if it’s because he’s still in love with his ex-girlfriend? Thibault doesn’t answer.

Before leaving, Carla adds that if he still loves Jasmine, she will find out sooner or later. Will Thibault confess his feelings to his brother’s girlfriend?

Cleo makes an irrevocable mistake

The indoor test takes place today. Cleo asks her boyfriend for some advice. At the same time, Gaspard comes out of the test. The young woman asks him how it went, and he answers: “I’ll tell you a secret, among the fake customers, there is one who will try to leave without paying.”

Cleo arrives in the Double A room more confident than ever. While she is taking care of Billie, she sees Tom get up from his chair and head towards the exit. Thinking that it is the famous customer who leaves without paying, she asks him to sit down again. But Tom explains to her that he just wants to go to the bathroom.

Faced with Cleo’s insistence, Hippolyte and Eliott intervene. They ask the young woman for explanations, and Cleo replies that she thought it was a trap. The classroom teacher asks her to stop the test before the end. Is this mistake a fatal mistake?

Cleo is shocked, she didn’t think Gaspard would be capable of such a betrayal. She asks him why he acted like that and he answers that it was for fun. He adds with a mocking look: “How does it feel to think you’re going to fail the exam just because you were entertaining me?”

While walking in the park of the Institute, Gaspard comes across Alice (played by Noémie Zeitoun) with headphones on her ears that prevent her from hearing background noise. Gaspard reveals to her that her brother has the same worries as her.

Alice said to him: “I’m tired of pretending to want to talk to you.”then leaves. Gaspard follows her with his eyes. Would he be interested in the young pastry teacher?

Gary gives Lionel an ultimatum

Lionel is looking for a way to reassure Zoé before her indoor test. Suddenly, an idea comes to his mind: create a deepfake with his father. But who better to make this montage? Lionel immediately thinks of Sabri, the e-gaming champion.

At the same time, Zoe is about to go to the police. But Gary stops her, because he knows that it could have a negative impact on the competition. He promises to go talk to Lionel to find out what he is hiding.

Just a few seconds later, the young man discovers Sabri and Lionel discussing deepfake. Caught in the act, Lionel tries to justify himself, and Sabri comes to his aid by saying that they were making a humorous montage. Gary asks Lionel to answer Zoé’s messages and calls.

A few minutes before the indoor test, Zoé receives the famous deepfake from her father. She tells Eliott that she feels better since she heard from her father. Thus, during the test, she shows seriousness and manages to adapt to all situations.

At the end of the day, Zoé confides in Gary that her father’s video has given her back her self-confidence. Gary is surprised and asks to watch the video. Right after, he takes Lionel to task and reveals that he knows it’s a montage.

Lionel has no choice but to confess the truth: his father has disappeared. Gary is in shock. He gives Lionel an ultimatum: he must tell Zoé the truth, or he will take care of it.
