Oscar -winning actress Natalie Portman spoke of the possibility of resuming her role as Padmé Amidala in future Star Wars projects. This announcement follows the official return of Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen to the world of the starry saga, from the mini-shop Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022). Christensen then resumed his role as Anakin Skywalker in the Ahsoka series.
Asked about his possible return to the franchise by Entertainment Tonight (via Comingsoon), during the preview of his latest film, Fountain of Youth by Guy Ritchie-who also stages John Krasinski, Domhnall Gleeson and Eiza Gonzalez and which is to see now on Apple TV+-, Natalie Portman admitted to be open to any possibility, while specifying that Lucasfilm had not contacted it.

The last appearance of the actress in the role of Padmé dates back to 2005, in Star Wars: the revenge of the Sith which has just celebrated its 20th anniversary. In the third part of the prequel trilogy, Padmé dies after giving birth to his twins, Luke and Leia.
