Earlier this week, we received some shocking news that some gains in COVID economic returns were lost in the last month of 2020. The latest ADP Small Business Report showed small businesses cut about 13,000 jobs in December.

And the numbers were better for franchise businesses or larger businesses.

Some epidemic-related business closure orders contributed to the overall loss of small business jobs. Restaurants, many of which are small businesses, in several large states – such as New York, California, and Pennsylvania – were ordered to cease one-person dining operations in their busiest months of the year and some are still closed today.
