This scheme provides the candidates 5 years of training at the Indian Military Academy including 1 year of basic training, 3 years of Technical training, and 1 year of Post-Commission training. After the training, the candidates will be awarded an Engineering degree and permanent commission in the Indian Army. Technical Officers will be selected from the aspiring individuals and trained as per the Indian Amry requirements.
Required Capabilities for Technical Entry Scheme
- Education Qualification: Candidates must have passed 12th or its equivalent from a recognised board with at least 60% marks and appeared in JEE Mains.
- Age Limit: Candidates should be 16.5 years and not more than 19.5 years. The upper age limit of the candidates will be as per the government rules.
- Marital Status: Only unmarried male candidates can apply for this scheme.
