What is IPMAT?
Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore). The national level test is a gateway for admission to the five- year Integrated Program in Management offered at IIM Indore. IPMAT 2021 will be conducted on July 16, 2021. Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be conducted on June 14. The registrations for IPMAT 2021 began on March 23, 2021, and the last date of application is May 5, 2021.
IPMAT 2021 will be held in online mode followed by Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). The program is spread across a period of five years and consists of 15 terms. Every year constitutes of three terms of three months duration. The final selection of candidates will be based on the Composite Scores (CS) computed on the basis of the following.

IPMAT Eligibility Criteria 2021
IPMAT eligibility 2021 is a set of requirements as mentioned by IIM Indore, that students must fulfill for admission to the five-year Integrated Programme in Management. The eligibility criteria for IPMAT 2021 is as under –
- The candidate should have scored a minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 10/SSC and Class 12/ HSC or equivalent examination in the case of General and NC-OBC category
- The candidates must have passed the qualifying examination in 2019, 2020 or in 2021
- Also, the candidate should be of maximum 20 years of age as on July 31, 2021
- The candidate should have scored a minimum of 55% aggregate in Class 10/SSC and Class 12/ HSC or equivalent examination in case of SC, ST and PWD (DA) category
State Wise Eligibility Criteria for General and NC/OBC category
- Candidates applying for the exam should have obtained an aggregate of 60% aggregate in both Class 10 and Class 12 or the overall score of SAT should be 1600 out of 2400
- Candidates who will be appearing for the Class 12 examination or are waiting for the results can also apply for the examination
- The candidate should not be more than 20 years of age as on July 31, 2021
SC, ST and PWD/DA category
- Candidates applying for the exam should have obtained an aggregate of 55% aggregate in both Class 10 and Class 12 or the overall score of SAT should be 1475 out of 2400
- Candidates who will be appearing for Class 12 examination or are waiting for the results can appear for the examination
- The candidate should not exceed 22 years of age as on July 31, 2021

IPMAT 2021: Admission Process
Step 1: Fill in the Application form
Candidates willing to appear for IPMAT 2021 need to register for the exam. It must be noted that the application form must be submitted before the deadline. It is advised to check the eligibility criteria before filling in the application form.
The fee is Rs 4130 for the General category/NC-OBC and Rs 2065 for reserved category candidates. Candidates must note that the fee can be paid only in online mode. Candidates can choose to pay the fee by any of the following:
- Credit Card
- Debit Card
- NetBanking
Step 2: Download IPMAT 2021 admit card
Candidates who register successfully for the exam will get access to the admit cards. The same will be available at least a week before the date of exam. Registered candidates can download their respective admit cards from the official website by entering their Registered ID and password.
Step 3: Appear for IPMAT 2021
The dates for IPMAT 2021 will be conducted on June 14, 2021. IPMAT is conducted in an online mode and the duration of the exam is two hours. Registered candidates need to appear for the exam where they will be assessed on Quantitative Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ), Quantitative Ability (Short Answer Question-SA) and Verbal Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ).
Step 4: Check IPMAT 2021 result
Test-takers can check their results online. The result is generally declared within 10-15 days from the date of the exam. Candidates need to enter their application form number, email ID or Date of Birth in order to access their result.
Step 5: WAT-PI
Candidates who clear the written test are further called in for the WAT-PI process. Shortlisted candidates need to appear for an Essay writing round and are then interviewed by a panelist of IIM Indore.
IPMAT 2021 Exam Centres
IPMAT 2021 exam centres are the cities as listed by IIM Indore where the test takers can take the aptitude test. IPMAT 2021 will be conducted in as many as 28 cities all over India. Candidates will get their preferred city from the list as their IPMAT exam centre 2021 as per their choices marked during the application process. The exam centre allotted to candidates will be mentioned on IPMAT 2021 admit card.

The final allotment of IPMAT exam centre can be affected by the availability of seats and candidates may not get their preferred city but nearest to it. IIM Indore has the right to change the exam centre due to any reason.
Exam Day Guidelines
- Candidates are advised to report their allotted exam centre for IPMAT 2021 at least an hour before the exam timing
- Candidates who are new to the location must make sure that they check the exam centre a day before the exam to avoid last day hassle
- Candidates must also ensure that they carry their admit cards to the exam hall. Entry will not be allowed to candidates found without admit cards
