J.W. Anderson and Converse Tease New Collaborative Capsule | Curated Mint

After the success of their last two capsule collections, Converse and J.W. Anderson are back again with a brand new retro-looking collection.

Compared to the logo-heavy first collaboration and glitter themed second, this retro-looking third team effort from Converse and J.W. Anderson is relatively toned down. However, it still looks impressive and easy to rock. Both the Chuck Taylor 70’s and Thunderbolt models are decked out in navy and brown hues. Converse recruited the legendary Larry Clark to direct a video trailer for the capsule collection in Marseille.

The impressive part of this collaboration isn’t immediately visible, but each sneaker is actually constructed of three different raw denims, allowing each shoe to age differently over time, showing signs of visible wear/age. This allows for every sneaker from the collaboration to end up looking different over time, which is extremely innovative.

As soon as more images of the sneakers are released, we’ll be sure to keep you updated. In the meantime you can watch the trailer for the collection here. The entire collection is set to drop via Converse directly and select retailers from the 3rd March. There may well be a hype surrounding this collection, so make sure you’ve got a plan of action if you’re set on copping.
