JEE Advanced 2024
JEE Advanced is conducted every year by any one of the 7 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) namely IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee or Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore under the aegis of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). Admissions to Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s, and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the 23 IITs, including the Indian School of Mines (ISM) are done based on the ranks obtained by candidates in JEE Advanced 2024 Exam.

JEE Advanced 2024- Exam Summary
The JEE Advanced 2024 is the computer-based entrance test for which only the students who have qualified for the JEE Main Exam can appear. How to Fill JEE Advanced Application Form 2024?
The JEE Advanced Application Form 2024 can be filled in through 4 stages which are as follows:

Registration
- Login to Using JEE Advanced 2024 registration number, date of birth, mobile number and email address, the candidates would have to log in to register for the examination.
- Then a question will appear on your screen “Are you Interested in AAT 2024?”, Choose ‘Yes’ if you want admission to AAT 2024 else to choose ‘No’.
- Select the preferred exam centres from the list of exam centres.
- Fill in other details as required in the application form.

JEE Advanced 2024 Eligibility Criteria
JEE Advanced 2024 exam eligibility entails that candidates must qualify for Paper-1 of JEE Main 2024. Candidates who wish to take this exam have to fulfil certain criteria as fixed by JAB. The eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2024 are as follows:
Performance in JEE Main 2024
The candidates should have qualified JEE Main examination and hold positions in the top 2,50,000 candidates. The cutoff for admissions into IITs is also required to be achieved by the candidates applying for JEE Advanced 2024. Out of this number, the percentage of candidates eligible for admission under different categories are as follows:
- Open- 40.5%
- General EWS – 10%
- OBC-NCL candidates – 27%
- SC candidates – 15%
- ST candidates – 7.5%
- PWD candidates – Horizontal reservation of 5% in all the above categories
Number of attempts
A candidate can attempt JEE Advanced twice in two consecutive years
Appearance in Class 12 (or equivalent) examination
The students should have passed their class 12 examination in 2022 or those who are appearing for the exam in 2024 can also apply for JEE Advanced 2024.
Earlier admission at IITs/ISM
A candidate should NOT have been admitted in an IIT irrespective of whether or not he/she continued in the program OR accepted an IIT seat by reporting at a reporting centre in the past. Candidates whose admission at IITs was canceled after joining any IIT are also not eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2024.
Age Limit
The general category candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1998. The age relaxation of 5 years will be provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category.
Candidates who have been admitted to a preparatory course in any of the IITs for the first time in 2022 can also apply for JEE Advanced 2024.
JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Pattern
JEE Advanced 2024 will contain two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2, with two language options viz. English and Hindi. Candidates must prepare for the exam by referring to the exam pattern prescribed by the exam conducting authorities. Preparing for the given exam with respect to the exam pattern will increase the chances of qualifying for the exam.
