Katie Price issued warrant for arrest after failing to attend bankruptcy hearing

Katie Price to be arrested over court hearings (Picture: PA)A warrant for the arrest of Katie Price has been issued by a judge after she failed to attend court hearings over her bankruptcy case.
The judge said the warrant was not issued ‘lightly’ but Price had offered only ‘piecemeal co-operation’ to the courts.
Judge Catherine Burton added she had failed to provide even ‘the most basic information’ in relation to her bankruptcies.
The 46-year-old glamour model was due to be in court today to answer questions over her reported £3.2million debts but failed to attend.
Her date was originally set for May 14 to plead her case to keep her Mucky Mansion after being declared bankrupt in March and eviction rumours but this was delayed.
The Insolvency and Companies Court Judge said Price had received ‘very clear warnings’ that she must attend the hearing after it was pushed back.

She recently published another memoir (Picture: Ian West/PA Wire)She was due to face questions about her finances in the specialist bankruptcy court in London from barristers representing the trustee of her two bankruptcies.
A judge at a previous hearing said the former glamour model risked arrest if she did not attend further court dates, adding that evidence must be provided if she could not appear.
Issuing the arrest warrant, Judge Burton said that Price had ‘failed to attend today’s hearing’ and had provided no explanation for her absence.
She said: ‘It is in my judgment necessary that the court issue a warrant for Ms Price’s arrest. She has no real excuse in failing to attend today’s hearing.
‘The reason for her absence today is irrelevant.’
The public examination included barrister Darragh Connell for the trustee, who told the court in written submissions that there ‘remains significant information missing as regards the bankrupt’s income and asset position’.

Which reportedly included handing over the keys to her infamous pink Range Rover (Picture: JAMES CURLEY AND MAGICMOMENTSUK)He said the trustee does not ‘have any information as to her whereabouts’, adding that Price ‘would not be kept in custody for a long period of time’, but would be detained to secure her attendance at a future hearing.
He said: ‘Her liberty is on the line, but unfortunately we are at the end of the road in relation to this matter.’
Connell said in written arguments that the application for Price to attend was first issued in January 2020, but had been ‘adjourned on numerous occasions’.
He continued that she had not asked to attend Tuesday’s hearing remotely and had not asked for it to be adjourned.
The court was also due to hear an application by the trustee related to her vehicles, which she had indicated she would deliver to them in an effort to pay off the bankruptcy balance.

The former glamour model has previously denied eviction claims but moved out of the mansion last month after she suffered an acid attack on her Pink Range Rover.
Adding to the drana, bailiffs were seen at the sprawling £2,000,000 property as Price travelled to Belgium for her 17th boob job, as first reported by The Sun.
Price has been quiet on social media, with her last post on Instagram showing her seemingly unfazed by the drama and eating a crisp sandwich.
