LIC AAO selection process is a three-stage process and the candidates have to mandatorily clear the stage to get eligible for the next stage. The LIC AAO exam is a yearly process carries out to recruit the candidates for the Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) in India’s largest health insurance provider Life Insurance Corporation Limited (LIC). LIC AAO recruitment 2020 notification was released on February 25, 2020. The LIC AAO Prelims exam was scheduled to be conducted on April 4, but because of the coronavirus pandemic, the LIC AAO Prelims exam was postponed. The LIC is yet to notify the new exam dates for LIC AAO Prelims exam.

LIC AAO selection process starts with the release of the official notification. The official notification is released by LIC at the start of the year so that the recruitment can be done within that year. LIC recruitment is done keeping in mind the vacant positions arising in next year so that candidates can be ready to fill the vacant positions after the training.

LIC AAO Eligibility

LIC AAO eligibility is mentioned in the LIC AAO notification against every post and the candidates must understand the eligibility conditions fully as per the notification. The eligibility conditions are different for different posts. In some posts, the experience is also required such as the LIC AAO (Legal).

LIC AAO Selection Process

The LIC AAO Selection Process is a three-stage process and the candidates need to clear the previous stage to become eligible for the successive stage. The three stages are as follows.

  • Prelims Exam
  • Main Exam
  • Interview

LIC AAO Prelims Exam

The LIC AAO prelims exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The LIC AAO Prelims exam is a screening exam and the exam is conducted to filter the candidates for the main exam. The passing percentage of the LIC AAO prelims exam is low because of the high cut-off.

LIC AAO Main Exam

The LIC AAO main exam as the name suggest is the main exam and the marks secured in the main exam is counted for the final merit list. The candidates who clear the main exam are called for the LIC AAO interview.

LIC AAO Interview

The LIC AAO interviews of the eligible candidates are conducted at the regional headquarters of LIC and the candidates are called for the interview to the nearest regional office based on their residential address.   After the interviews, the marks of the candidates, secured in the main exam and the LIC AAO interview are summed up and the exam conducting authority conducts the Normalisation of the marks and reassigned the normalised marks to the candidates.

LIC release the final LIC AAO result based on this normalisation process.
