Less than three years after the first film, the M3gan doll returns for a much more ambitious suite and more turned towards action and science fiction. A change of course to the taste of spectators? Verdict.
Update for M3gan. The killer doll, which we discovered at the end of 2022, returned changed. For the rest, entitled M3gan 2.0, the android is no longer as mean. On the contrary, he returns to protect the world from an even more dangerous and more powerful robot that responds to the name of AM3LIA.
This second part, still produced by Blumhouse – giant horror films – has a much more substantial budget, three times higher than that of the first. The tone is also different. Here, there is more question of science fiction and action. Horror is left in the background.
What note for M3gan 2.0?
On Allociné, the film collects an average press of 2.9 out of 5. It is a little less than the first which displays a note of 3 out of 5. As for the spectators, the average is, on date, identical to that of the previous film: 2.8* out of 5.
A passage to the successful SF?
