Make Your Own Pineapple Jack-o'-Lantern Without any Mess

The countdown for All Hallows’ Eve has begun, and the craze for celebrating Halloween is roaring among the fest lovers. In case you have not prepared anything big for the grandest party of the year or seem to be a little confused about your Halloween home decoration, you can try making your own plastic pumpkin Jack-o’-lantern.

Carved by Kim Purvis of Made in a Day, the faux pumpkins are easy to make if you follow the process Kim’s listed out on her website. A faux pineapple is a better idea than carving an original one since the former is less messy and easy to achieve.

Kim says, start out by buying a couple of faux pineapples. Ensure they are both hollow from within. Before you set out to carve the plastic pumpkins, keep handy an X-Acto Knife, acrylic paint probably brown in color, add two faux tea lights that will eventually fit inside of the carved pumpkins.

Now heat up the hot knife and stabilize its holder with tape to a flat surface which prevents it from moving and makes it easier for you to carve. Now cut the pineapple at the bottom using slow in and out movement to make it easier for the plastic to melt.

Following this, cut out the eyes and mouth of the Jack-o’-Lantern and clean them thoroughly. Further, remove the unwanted piece of plastic to make it look fancy for your home decoration.

The final step requires you to paint the outer edges of the pineapple with brown acrylic paint, which will highlight the eyes and mouth of the Jack-o’-Lantern. Once you are done, place the faux tea lights inside the pineapples, and enjoy your Halloween!
