More than 20 years ago, Fatal Bazooka took her first steps on TV, and we found the video – Actus Ciné

The creation of the character of Fatal Bazooka seen by his creators Michaël Youn and Vincent Desagnat.

We recently learned that Fatal Bazooka, the rapper Savoyard (Savoie or else?) Created in the program Morning Live by Michaël Youn and his companions would be entitled to a second film after Fatal, released in 2010. He will simply be called Bazooka and plans to arrive in theaters next year, the opportunity to come back to the origins of the character with one of his creators.

Guest of the show Get BusyVincent Desagnat, faithful traveling companion of Michaël Youn and Benjamin Morgaine at the Morning Live returned to the origin of the character of Fatal Bazooka:

“”[Fatal Bazooka] It is a parody of a rap planet. (…) At the base, crazy your hood it comes from the hardcore song of Ideal J: “As soon as, as soon as I do this song, it leaves in c *** lles / I hear a reaction of bad boys in the crowd / mad the same and if necessary, crazy your hood”. So we just recovered the crazy your hood, and it was the starting point. We transformed this into Savoyard rapper … “

Indeed, the first appearance of Fatal is in this extract from the Morning Live, where the fictitious rapper interpreted by Mickaël Youn already signs “crazy your hood”:

“We were doing parody, so we didn't work at all on the bedrooms in the world of hip-hop”continues Desagnat. “As it was successful, it became a little different, but my state of mind as a fan of French rap, (…) I did not behave in 'I too I was successful in hip-hop', I was really the fan. Later, when we made the Fatal Bazooka album, there is a slightly style Marseille style at the FF, and we heard that the Fonky Family had not been too much like. “

And to create the character of Fatal himself, Michaël Youn had entrusted to Konbini that it was a famous rapper he had thought:

“I believe that the main inspiration is Booba. Besides, one day I met him when I left Skyrock where I had just made my rap planet – it was a bit of a consecration for me who was a journalist for Skyrock to come and do my rap planet for a rap parody album was a bit like putting an oscar to yourself. And I meet Booba, Not … he understood that he was my first source of inspiration, and I think it did not make him too much like.

Fatal will return to the cinema in 2026.
