Prime Video has just added to his catalog “Motorheads”, his latest Teen Drama which his subscribers love. We watched the first episodes of the series!
What is it talking about?
In the city of Ironwood, in Pennsylvania, the improbable friendship of several individuals around a common love for the automobile.
Who is it with?
Sex fans intentions and shooters will find their account with Motorheads since Ryan Phillippe is one of the main roles: that of Logan, a former Nascar who now holds a garage in Ironwood. He is the uncle of Zac played by Michael Cimino (Love Simon) and Caitlyn camped by Melissa Collazo (who lies?), Two brothers and sisters who have just arrived in this small town.
These last two hide a secret: their father, Christian Maddox, is a former race champion, sadly famous for a chase with the police 17 years earlier, following a robbery. Since then, he has disappeared, leaving a woman (interpreted by Nathalie Kelley seen in Dynasty) and children behind him.
Does that deserve the look?
For a few years now, Prime Video has produced films and series stamped in turn Young Adultswith a lot of successes. After the successes of on the other hand and its derivatives, the platform seems to want to apply this same recipe to a slightly longer format. This gives Motorheads, that subscribers can banger since May 20 on Amazon.
This series in 10 episodes combine several things that work: the first emotions, improbable friendships and … car races. There is no question of forbidden love as in the wrongs since Motorheads rather eyeing family drama.
And this is clearly the most interesting subject in the series: what happened 17 years earlier, so that the city’s racing champion disappears? Where did it go? As her children try to walk in his footsteps, the past is gradually revealed, with big flashbacks.
And interesting, it is Deacon Phillippe – the son of Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon – who was chosen to camp the young Christian Maddox. The cast is also one of the strong points in the series: we very easily focus on the heroes who all share an undeniable alchemy.
With its small town atmosphere that recalls Gilmore Girls, its intrigue around cars which is a tribute supported in Grease and its ultra popular soundtrack (although too present), Motorheads is a pleasant and very easy entertainment to look at. She is in line with everything that Prime Video does like – Maxton Hall, the summer when I became pretty … – and should therefore appeal to lovers of teen drama.
