MPSC Hall Ticket 2024, Rajyaseva Preliminary Exam Date Announced, Check Paper Pattern Inside

The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) is all set to conduct the Maharashtra Gazetted Civil Services Joint Preliminary Examination 2024. The test was scheduled for 28 April 2024 across the state which has been deferred given General Elections in the country. The Preliminary exam date has now been set as 21 July 2024

This examination is being conducted to recruit candidates for the State Civil Services, Architectural Engineering Service, and Forest Services. The candidates will get the MPSC Prelims Hall Ticket at least a week before the exam date.

The examination authority will call all those candidates who have submitted a valid online application form using the valid methods to appear in the written examination. Aspirants are advised to download the Maharashtra Civil Services Hall Ticket from the official website of the recruitment authority using their online application credentials.

Online MPSC Civil Services examination applications were accepted from 5 January to 24 January 2024. Applicants will now compete for a total of 274 vacancies in the various departments in the state. The Maharashtra Gazetted Civil Services Joint Preliminary Examination 2024 is scheduled for 28 April 2024, and candidates eagerly await participation.

MPSC Civil Services Selection Process

The selection process for MPSC Civil Services recruitment has multiple stages designed to check the candidate’s competency and suitability for the vacancies.

Preliminary Examination

This stage tests general aptitude and foundational knowledge relevant to the position. Marks obtained in this phase are used solely to qualify candidates for the Main Examination and do not contribute to the final selection. The preliminary examination consists of two objective papers.

  • Paper I focuses on general studies and includes 100 questions for 200 marks. The questions are presented in English and Marathi languages, and the paper lasts 2 hours.
  • Paper II checks the candidate’s civil service aptitude with 80 questions worth 200 marks, also available in English and Marathi, and has an exact duration of 2 hours.

Mains Exam

Only those who clear the Preliminary Examination can appear in the main examination. It includes several papers on specific subjects, testing in-depth knowledge and understanding. Scores from this stage are essential as they significantly impact the final merit list.

  • Paper I includes questions from various topics such as current events at the state, national, and international levels, the history of India with a focus on Maharashtra, geography, polity and governance, economic and social development, environmental ecology, biodiversity, climate change, and general science.
  • Paper II Syllabus encompasses comprehension, interpersonal skills including communication skills, logical reasoning and analytical ability, decision-making and problem-solving, general mental ability, basic numeracy, data interpretation, and language comprehension skills in Marathi and English.

How to download the Maharashtra PSC Prelims Exam Hall Ticket 2024

  1. Visit the official website of MPSC at mpsc.gov.in.
  2. After that, the candidates will see the “Hall Ticket” section on the first page.
  3. Click on the “MPSC Preliminary Exam Hall Ticket 2024” link.
  4. Enter the details of the candidate on the next webpage.
  5. Now, submit those details and wait for the document to appear.
  6. After that, download the admit card and save a digital copy.
  7. Now, take out a printout of the document.
  8. Carry a clean copy of the hall ticket to the examination centre.
