About Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park
Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park is a marine national park located in the Gulf of Thailand off the coast of Surat Thani Province and consists of 42 islands covering 18 km out of the 102 km total area. The park, it was established on 12 November 1980 and is registered as a Ramsar site by the Ramsar Convention and hence recognized as an important wetland.

The fauna of these islands is limited to 50 species of birds, 14 reptiles, 16 mammals and 5 amphibian species. These include creatures like sea turtles and pythons.

Best time to visit Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park
Ang Thong National Park experiences strong winds during November and December, so it is closed during these months, the sea is calm and the weather is warm and perfect between the months of February and October, making it a perfect place to visit the park. Would be an ideal time. We suggest avoiding visiting the park in January as it is extremely crowded.

How to reach Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park
