Netflix: The most seen series of all time on the platform reveals its ultimate season – News Series

The Netflix platform today unveils the third and last season of its most seen series of all time, with almost 3 billion (!) Hours of viewing.

Its first two seasons total almost 3 billion hours of viewing, and its last season arrives today on Netflix: the Squid Game series is thus preparing to make its final farewell to the platform subscribers.

Launched at the end of 2021, the South Korean series obtained phenomenal and unexpected success. So much so that a continuation was ordered to its creator Hwang Dong-Hyuk, although he had never imagined an extension to the history of the first season (and originally, Squid Game should also have been born in the form of a film).

6 episodes to conclude the story of Squid Game

Two seasons shot simultaneously were finally produced to offer a conclusion to the history of Gi-Hun Seong, the protagonist of Squid Game. The seven episodes of season 2 were able to be discovered last December on Netflix, and the platform unveils this Friday, June 27, the six episodes that make up the third and last season of the program.

As a reminder, season 2 ended on a huge scriptwriting twist. The attempt at insurrection against the pink guards therefore ended on a failure. Gi-Hun had to attend the execution of his childhood friend, and resolve to abandon his dreams of revenge against the master of the game. After this bloody interlude, the normal course of the game will therefore be able to resume.

An impossible happy end?

Without disseminating anything, let's just say that these six final episodes should not leave the fans indifferent. New games will be revealed, characters will reveal themselves, some will disappear since the rule is only one of the 456 participants can claim to win the sum of the 45.6 billion wons involved.

70 players are still alive, but those who wish to continue are now largely in the majority compared to those who wish to interrupt the game (a vote is offered at the end of each event). It will therefore be complicated, not to say now completely impossible, to prevent this infernal machination from taking its course. What if Gi-Hun had made the mistake of his life by agreeing to go back to play Squid Game?

This season 3 reserves its share of surprises, and certain theories developed by fans could be true. There is no doubt that Squid Game fans will not make a neighborhood in this last season, and will devour its six episodes this Friday, June 27 on Netflix.
